What more does on want when its a beach holiday? The surroundings are beautiful - tropical greenery everywhere, beautifully maintained gardens, charming décor, friendly staff . We went... More

Rooms may not be the smartest in the world, but they are clean, the beds are comfortable, the shower is hot! We had great food and drink prices were very reasonable. I loved the breakfast.... The guys that run the place are really cool and are very flexible in helping to fit in with your schedule. Would happily stay there... More

Always stay at Lar do Ouro when I visit Ponta - which is about 3-4 times a year either in holidays with the family or for work. No luxury, just down to earth hospitality, clean and safe rooms and an excellent breakfast. Never had any complaints.

We stayed at O Lar Do Ouro guest lodge last week (June / July 2016) and had a lovely stay. The owner was away so we were attended to by Matt throughout our stay, and he was wonderful. We stayed for four nights, dinner bed and breakfast, and enjoyed our visit. The lodge is a short drive away from the... More

The breakfast is delicious and served on the terrasse looking onto the garden and swimmingpool. Overall a home away from home feeling !

The guesthouse rooms are simple but more than adequate. They are beautifully presented as is the rest of the lodge. The food was good for both vegetarians and carnivores alike and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lodge is in a good, quiet location in Ponto do Ouro. The town itself was a great place to visit in order... More

“Near the swimmingpool !”

“We stayed near opposite the pool - it was fine. There is no fitness centre or room service as its a bed and breakfast and you would not expect this. A good choice if you want peace and quiet and don't mind a walk to the beach or village or are keen to hire a quad bike. Its away from the beach .”
