The Adobe Inn (Posada de Adobe) is the only place to stay in Mata Ortiz unless you have friends in the village. The location is excellent. This is NOT a luxury facility - - if that is your need, then stay in Casas Grandes or Nuevo Casas Grandes many miles away. The thrill of staying here consists of being right...

The room was not clean, the shower was falling off the wall, the hot water had been turned off, there was no staff available at night to ask for assistance. I left the next day. Maybe it has improved but not sure, its been a few years. There are other places to stay, such as Casa de Marta (good), and...

If you're...

The rooms are modest but it is safe and clean and makes you feel like a part of the village. The staff are friendly and will help provide tours of the potters homes, the area...

It's hard to believe that such beautiful art can come from one small place, and from so many different people who live in that place. The adobe Inn is the ONLY place to stay in Mata(literally). They have...
