This is the new Proboscis Lodge (Bukit Melapi Lodge) - the old one got flooded so this one is higher up the river bank. Arrival very easy in a motor boat from the parking place, about 5 mins. Cool drink on arrival in main hall, easy check in, reasonable food. NB: if you're a veggie, try and let them know...

The Melapi is the brand new sister hotel to the Proboscis Lodge, built a little way along the river and higher up the river bank. Accommodation is the typical arrangement of chalets located around a main lodge building. Our chalet was spacious, clean, and comfortable, if a little spartan.
