The only thing which was a letdown was that we didn't have more time to spend there. The surroundings were as lovely as late summer can provide and the historical buildings were renovated with fine taste and loving touch. Perfect for family gatherings or other larger events and the catering did not leave any of us wanting.
We got married in early September in Raseborg and had our party at Mustio. The Mustio restaurant also handled our catering off-site. The food was outstanding, and they were able to create an excellent, varied but fully vegetarian feast for us. Our cake was delicious as well as beautiful and made exactly to our specifications. The party took place outside in the park and in the old stable building - both were atmospheric in their own right but the crew at Mustio also went out of their way to add special touches and accommodate our wishes. The wedding suite is in a separate two-storey building with its own terrace overlooking the river - very romantic!
We reserved our hotel room quite late only few days before and the hotel was almost fully booked. We got a room in "pikkutupa" which means tiny cottage. The room was in old wooden farmer house approx. 200 meters from main buildings. it was renovated well. In this room (34?) we had 4 windows, fireplace and combined bathroom and toilet. The room was clean and you can park on the door. Because in this house hadn´t any other customers it was really quiet. All the rooms are in a park very well gardened. I don´t know what kind are the rooms in Manor House, but if you like to live in an old farmer´s house this "pikkutupa"is for you. 135 €/room/night is not cheap and it was already a special price.
The hotel is located in several old buildings in the Castle park. The rooms are relatively large and nicely renovated. Not a luxury target but due to special charisma good enough for a wedding day anniversary. The breakfast has basic incredients with local flavour but only warm is the porridge, which was very good.
Mustio Manor is worth visiting just to admire the beautiful surroundings of this manor, especially in Spring or Summer time. We were a larger group having business meetings and stayed overnight. Meeting facilities were pretty good. Dinner and food in general fresh and delicious, services always professional. The hotel room I stayed was in one of the side buildings. It had been recently renovated and the end result was very good. Museum tour was super interesting. But the area itself is by the best part, super relaxing.
We had a conference here for 2 nights. The Manor was lovely and we had a really nice tour. The rooms we stayed in were in the other side of the estate, clean, however a little dated -and the sleep quality was poor. The restaurant was great, food was very good quality as was the beer as well. Would recommend for a business offsite.
Mustio Manor has a unique part in the history of Finland. This time I stayed in the white hotel part. The room was for one person. The room was pretty small. However, it was nice and clean. I recommend Mustio Manor for small groups due to the meeting facilities.
Visited Mustio Manor in August 2017. We had a two day workshop with around 15 persons. The Manor surroundings are very nice to walk around and explore by foot. Meeting room facilities functioned perfectly and servings worked great. We ate in the Slottskrogen during both days, the food was superb each time. Rooms were kind of average but are in line with the surroundings. Staff told that during summertime Saturdays there are weddings almost every weekend. But instead of conference purposes (which also work more than fine), I would especially recommend this place to couples travelling together, families and especially non-Finnish travellers who wish to see and experience something completely different than Helsinki downtown hotels. The drive is just one hour from downtown…
Very pretty place between Turku and Helsinki. We staid overnight there on the way to the ferry to Stockholm. Beautiful park with statues, old gates, water lilies and typically Scandinavian houses. Hotel room was nice in one of the red wooden houses. Clean and well furbished with all one needs.
