I was booked here by some relatively disorganized trip planners. There must have been a discount, or people must not have read the reviews on TripAdvisor. The hallways, room, and breakfast area were extremely dimly lit - it was almost impossible to find the keyhole to open my room. Once in the room you could hear everything through the doors....

Hotel is fairly close to the centre (and very close to my business destination :-)). It is quite a difference from the standard business hotels. It has its own atmosphere with is very specific. Dark and discrete, check the history :-) I can imagine it is not everyone's cup of tea but I like a touch of individuality :-) Breakfast...

Got charged double on my VISA, already sent two e-mails & had someone on the phone two times who told me they'd call back which never happened. Mistakes happen, but then you solve them instead of ignoring. Already spent too much time to get MY money back.

The hotel is so dark, chances of tripping & breaking your neck are incredibly high (even if there is daylight which is non-existent). The rooms are dark, tiny with very silly layout. No charging facilities especially if you are like me with 4 different devices; no desk to work on. No cupboards, no iron. Bathrooms are tiny with no space...

Dear Bonnie D, Corporate organisation use to book their hotel via a really old system without any picture or room description or any relevant info on the hotel. They just choose a situation and a rate. Therefor, sometimes, we welcome guests who have not a single idea of where they are going to. Le Berger Hotel is an historic hotel...

Nice and friendly reception, good breakfest but inacceptable rooms. Received room 303 with no windows to the outside, only with a window to a ventilation shaft. Even with fully opened window the air remained sticky and smelly. I heard the noise of the other guest having the same type of room on other floors. Electric light inside the room was...

Have stayed here several times and am always happy to return: this is a boutique hotel in a good location in Brussels and just a short walk from the main tourist attractions and the european quarter. Rooms are comfortable but the standard priced ones are a bit on the small side with very little space for hanging clothes ( well...

The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Small room coquettish and intimate. The hotel is in a great location in a very quiet street with very little traffic. But a few minutes away, Bus, Metro, Restarents of different cultures. The best is the tranquility in the center of Ixelles with a choice of restaurants, shops from 100 meters from the...

Hello gklose, First of all, I wanted to thank you for taking the time publishing a review about your stay at Le Berger Hotel. It is indeed nice to read you enjoyed the hotel, its staff and location. Regarding sound isolation I would like to bring attention to the fact that Le Berger was originally a mid 30's building and...

We stayed 1 night in Le Berger last weekend. My room was very cool, it was clean and full of character. The walls however are absolutely paper thin, we could hear everything happening in the rooms above and below ours and on either side. If you are on a short break and looking to party... drink, drugs, etc, Le Berger...
