Detailed Reviews
I was really satisfied with everything. The staff is kind, the place and view is beautiful, food and prices are also great. The only bothersome thing was that the saunas didn’t always work as they were supposed to.

Here you can everything: great food, breathtaking view, with lots of indoor and outdoor activities. The spa was nice with saunas. The rooms were clean too.
I would love to go back in winter.
I recommend to visit Oxygen Adrenaline Park, Galya lookout, and Kékes lookout.

I stayed here several times, and plan to go back any time.
Quiet, beautiful place, good wellness, excellent kitchen. ( too good, I always gain some kilos there)
The rooms are very comfortable, with a beautiful view on the hills.
Many hiking and walking paths in the surrounding.
Strongly advised for everyone.

I stopped our car close to the entrance of the hotel and my wife contacted with our little sons the receptionist in order to have assistance with our luggage’s. The receptionist did not offer any personal help but she showed my wife a small trolley which we could use with the luggages. How could it happen in a 4star hotel?!
The second disappointment was that we received 2 separate rooms ( 1 adult + 1 child/room) though we were obviously promised that we would have connected rooms.
The third disappointment was that we had to choose between 2 options regarding breakfasts and dinners. Either we could have breakfast between 7.00-8.30 or 8.45-10.30 and for dinner there were similar choices regarding 2 time periods. They said they should do it because of the COVID pandemic. On the other hand it was the only policy which matched this unpleasant COVID situation. Some procedures were like in the Stone Age. We had to fill in the registration form with the pen of the hotel used by many different people of course.Nobody from the staff was wearing mask. Nobody was dealing with the optimal social distance In the restaurant or at the reception desk. They had buffet table and sometimes there was a small crowd infront of the popular dishes and guests were using the same picking tool after each other. Though this hotel located in the mountains and the restaurant has nice glass sliding door they kept it closed and the air conditioning was on.
Rooms were simple but clean.
Staff in the restaurant was friendly. We were not able to find so called kids dishes some evenings. The variety of dishes was below average.
The view from our room was fabulous and our sons like the playground of the hotel very much.
We received fortunately connected rooms on the second day but we had to manage our transfer without any assistance and we did not have any room for half a day. In addition the place did not have a storage room therefore we had to leave our luggage’s next to reception desk.
In summary we will not go back again for sure.

This hotel is nothing special and is not worth 4 stars at all. The only positive thing is the surrounding nature but you can get that at the other 4 star hotels nearby.
The rooms are very plain, the lobby is kind of empty and cold, for the spa there are the usual saunas but nothing extra (no music, special lights or anything exciting).
The restaurant menu is way too Hungarian (nothing light, no sandwiches or salads for a quick lunch), the waiters don't exactly know how to provide 4 star services, although they are kind and try to be quick as much as they can.
There is a small room for children to play, which is not so bad and in half pension food is good for one-year olds as well as they serve chicken with some vegetables. The quality of the food is not so good tough.
All in all: chose another hotel if you can.

I spent two nights in the hotel as part of a large group getting together for a yoga camp. Our room on the top floor was nice with a comfy bed and an amazing view of the surrounding mountains. The spa was really good, they have different saunas, swimming-, kids- and leisure pool. Unfortunately the 12 metre long swimming pool is only comfortable up to 3 people using it. The food was delicious, the only problem for us was that there were too many pork dishes and they regularly ran out of poultry. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and one of the best scrambled eggs ever! The overall cleanliness of the hotel was very good, although they really should wash the table clothes every day. Our other problem was the conference room where we did the yoga classes and the carpet was still full of last night's crumbles. The staff was polite and helpful, although not flexible enough on paying one room's bills separately. Overall it was a great place to stay, I would recommend it to anyone.

It is a newly renovated hotel up in the middle of the Mátra mouintains It is in a quiet location-fresh air-great for hiking in summer and skiing in winter. The receptionists were really friendly, sharing information about the nearby villages and sights.
Our room was big, comfortable with a beautiful view from the huge balcony (shared with a few other rooms) There is free internet with cable in the room.
Great selection at breakfast, typical hungarian dishes for dinner, delicious but little too heavy for me. Fresh fruits and strudel were offred too.Table clothes should be washed every day.
The spa area is not too big but nicely built with quality materials and has everyting you can wish for: kids pool, saunas, salt bath etc..There is a well equipped fittness room and a salt chamber as well.

Our family stayed 2 nights in a 2-bedroom suite.
The first impressions were not so good:
- The hotel's interior is a mixture of different styles (kind of home made, I am sure they did not hire an interior designer / decorator). In our bedroom there were 3 different wallpapers on the walls (rather strange ones). The double bed was with 2 separate hard mattresses with a big gap in between - not very comfortable for me and my wife.
- There were only 2 waiters in the restaurant, which was clearly few for 50-60 people (serving drinks, clearing tables, etc.). At the dinner, when we arrived we were asked about drinks but never received them - the waiter said he forgot about it. The baby chair we received, was very dirty - had to ask for a cleaning.
- The breakfast and dinner was alright, kind of average (choice and quality).
We liked the wellness area, which was quite spacious with swimming pool, wellness pool, children's pool and salt whirlpool, saunas, steam bath, saltcabin and nice fitness room - satisfied all our family's needs.
The location is quite, on the edge of the village, good starting point for hiking or excursions.
I stayed at lots of 4-star hotels but this should be rated rather a good 3-star.

Thanks for your opinion. The hotel was designed by am interior designer, but we have changed some things, but she chose the different wallpaper in the room. The mattresses for some people are hard and for others are soft. They are original hotel mattresses. There are seperated beds so the rooms can be used for dubel rooms or for single rooms. There are 2 waiters in case of 60 guests, I admit problems may occur but in theses cases the guests can ask help from them. They are people as well, who can make mistakes. Thanks for being satisfied with the wellness.

Excelent surrounding area with forest, hills and springs. Hotel is clean, service is acceptable. Food not the best, but fine and enough. Worth to spend a weekend or more. Wellness area is beautiful, it's open till 10 p.m.

This is a great renovated hotel in the Hills of Matra. The room is enough big if you stay with children. The sleep quality is OK, bathroom is comfortable.
Food is above the quality of the average Hungarian 4star hotels. The wellness area is not so big, sometimes crowded...
The staff on the reception are not so friendly...
I would choose the hotel again in the future & recommend
