can't fault this b&b, it's in the perfect location, has everything you need in the room and is good value for your money. The only thing that some people may feel apprehensive about is that the private bathroom was not en suite, however i stayed with my 9 year old daughter and we didn't seem to find this as being... No hot water at all, despite a sign stating the hours that the hot water heating system would be on between. For me this is just basics and can very much spoil your stay. Everything else was average. Small bath towels though, and an odd room layout from bedroom and then up some steps to the bathroom. DIY breakfast in... More

Very friendly staff and apologetic about having no food available today although no reason given. Good selection of real ale and reasonably priced. Well attended beer garden on beach rd with a seafood shack open clean and tidy with ramp access for wheelchair

Great pub on the seafront. Staff are fantastic, food is good and honest with good portion sizes. Beer is cheap but well kept and served by a lovely landlady called Helen. They offer bed and breakfast, have an excellent range of spirits and have entertainment on regularly. Recommended for all.

The worst hotel I've stayed in for quite some time, easily in the bottom 5 ever (and I stay in a lot of them). The public areas (corridor etc.) were very much in need of redecorating and cleaning, the bedroom was at least clean but rather scruffy and poorly decorated, the TV didn't work (no reception and, ironically, no receptionist... Popped in for a quick drink. Couldn't find a seat and being disabled was unsure of where to sit. My partner went to the toilet and the lady behind the bar made a sarcastic remark about him using the toilet without buying a drink. I explained that we were there to buy a drink but she gave me a sharp... More

Just home from our 2nd visit to The Royal Albion. Stayed in the en-suite family room with our 2 boys. Fantastic sea views! Very clean, comfy beds, ample breakfast replenished daily. Even a box of chocolates to wish me a Happy Birthday! We were looked after so well by Helen and her lovely family, couldn't have asked for more. Thanks... More

Had a lovely stay here despite the awful weather this last weekend. The room + bathroom was nice and warm and clean. The welcome was friendly. The location is great, walked to the pier and then to The Naze Café for tapas (amazing!) and a long walk along the seaside collecting shells All I could suggest would be to add... More
