We phoned the night before our visit to organise a ground floor room as we are both disabled, and we had no problem at all, everything was sorted for us by Karen. Upon arrival we were greeted by Elizabeth, who helped us by bringing our bags from the car to our room, and then when we went out we mentioned...

We stopped for lunch on our way back from Devon just wished we had chosen somewhere else. The place looks lovely and the staff are very friendly but the food although cheap was not good. Out of four meals the best was scampi and chips, but what can you do to ruin that! The jacket potato was obviously cooked and...

This is a Chef and Brewer restaurant and therefore the menu is the same throughout the chain. The steak pie was full of really tender meat and was a proper pie with a top and bottom. We visit often as the staff are nice as is the food and prices.

Stayed at the Wheatseaf as it was a good location that we knew very well and had eaten in many times over the years we lived in Basingstoke. We were visiting old friends for the weekend. The room was clean and tidy. Only problem with the bathroom was that the tap in the sink only gave out very hot water,...

Stayed here for a week whilst working in the area. Ate each evening in the bar. The hotel used to be a Premier Inn. So if you're used to Premier Inns the rooms are essentially the same. Amenities and bed etc all fine. Pretty standard premier inn stuff. No quarrel with that. The room I had was overlooking a courtyard...

Had lunch with mother, niece and baby Joe. Veggie fish and chips were superb and unique, I've been a vegetarian for 30 years and never been served anything like it. Desserts choice was wide and varied. I had sticky toffee roulade, gorgeous. My niece and mother enjoyed their meals too; Joe slept throughout, much to my neices relief. Staff were...
