Great welcome , nice garden , room adequate but small . Dinner , a meal for a European palette , breakfast adequate . Very friendly and welcoming host who cooked served and did everything to make our overnight stop as relaxed as possible.

We have been visiting La Besace now for almost 30 years – it’s the perfect stop-off for driving down South or en route back for Calais. It changed hands when the last owner – the lovely Jean Lecat - retired about 3 years ago and this was our first time staying there since. We need not have worried that it...

Welcoming and perfect hospitality! Its located in a picture postcard rural setting, it's difficult to find anything better. Stayed for four days and enjoyed this hotel very much. The room was to a very high standard, clean and comfortable. Recommend the evening set meal, quality French cuisine at a reasonable price. La Besace is surrounded by beautiful countryside with lots...

Stayed one night as stopover in the drive from Provence to Calais. Easy to get to from the main road and easy to find. The owner, Aga, was very welcoming on arrival. Brilliant communication from her (in English- she has lived in England) before we arrived so we knew she would provide an evening meal. Helped with bags and to...

This B&B lived up to the comments from others. We had a very friendly welcome and very much enjoyed the dinner (4 courses, large helpings) and especially a long conversation with our hosts. It was easy to find the place from the motorway and there is safe parking. Both husband (French) and wife (Polish) speak excellent English. We plan to...

This is a beautiful old farmhouse with a lovely garden. The rooms are very clean & have all the amenities you need. Aga is very friendly & helpful & speaks excellent English! There is a communal breakfast & dining room, the breakfast was pleasant but basic. The people we met there who had the evening meal said it was really...

Second ocassion we have been and it's delightful. Lovely B&B and excellent food - vi vala coq au vin! Charming village where one can stretch legs after a days journey from England. This location is ideal for the first stop of our leasurly drive en-route to Italy ( two more stops to go).

What a beautiful small hotel with a great family welcome. With a lovely garden and attractive exterior it is an idyllic little oasis in the middle of a lonely rural area. We were greeted at the gate by Aga who was watching out for our approach. The bedrooms were colour-themed - we had the blue room - the tiny lounge...

Six of us went to Laon for the Historic Car Rally and found La Besace from Booking .com it turned out that whilst we are all car nuts and really enjoyed the event the real stars of the weekend were Aga and Franc at Le Besace. From the ice cold beer welcome at the end of a long days driving...

A beautiful gem of a place to stay. Perfect hosts, beautiful rooms and wonderful home cooking. Thankyou for a perfect end to our holiday. Only downside is that we only stayed one night we wish it had been longer. We will definitely return. A perfect stop over to/from Calais.
