We stayed in this place for four nights in October, and had one room downstairs and one upstairs. The rooms were personal, and had all the necessary amenities - except a fridge. The couple running the place are very nice, and did everything they could to make sure that we were satisfied. We had trouble with our A/C one night, but that was easily fixed the next day. And when the hostess noticed that we had used additional blankets one night, she gave us a thicker one the next day :) Continental breakfast is included. The place offers a roof terrace which is good on a warm day. The place is located in the city center, with 2-3 restaurants nearby. Note that they don't open for dinner before 8pm. Streets are narrow, but there is parking available behind the hotel. Not much to do in Almodovar itself, except the castle, but you are only 20 minutes away from Cordoba.

Do yourself a favour and book a room with Pepa and Angel. Every effort made to make your stay as good as it gets. We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves. So welcoming and the house is full of character as the restoration is done with a lot of attention to detail. Muchas grazias Pepa and Angel.

The owners have made a loving restoration of a classic late C19 Andaluz pueblo patio house. The rooms are distributed round the central patio. The night we stayed we were the only guests, so obviously all was very quiet, but even so, being at the back of the building we heard nothing, and that you cannot take for granted in the heart of a pueblo. Very comfortable bed in a high-ceilinged room, with a real bath in the bathroom! and access to an elegant common place to sit upstairs, a cultured library, and a roof terrace. Breakfast was simple but adequate, the fresh orange juice especially delicious. I can't say how it would be in high season, being so close to Córdoba, but for us it was the perfect stopover.

Stayed just one night here...though had we relied on the car’s satnav we might still be looking for the place. (Google maps at least has it cracked!) Pepa and Angel have restored a beautiful 1900s house, right in the centre of this small town, with much love and attention to detail. This shows in the quality of the accommodation. Superb comfy bed, lovely linen, and lots of helpful advice about where to eat, what to see, etc. A simple, but freshly prepared breakfast, shared with some interesting guests. Reasonably priced. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

This beautiful restored town house is a must to stay in instead of staying in Cordoba. on arrival you are greeted very warmly by the host and hostess as visitors to a private house. If interested you get told the story of the house and the restoration of it. It is just beautiful renovated with keepring of all the antique gems like the floors in the rooms, the patio, the wooden doors and windows - just fabulous. In the morning after a thoroughly good sleep in wonderful beds, you are treated with a family style breakfast, freshly squeezed orange juice and a friendly ambience.
