Stayed with my family for one night in an family room. Very big, modern and clean bedroom`s. We been 5 people and its perfect for it. As the holiday inn standard it is an modern hotel. The breakfast area is quite small and i can imagine to peak times they are struggling to supply all guests in an rush. Unfortunately we been almost alone and so no issue at all. I do not agree on the high parking cost of 20.- sfr per night. As an Hotel guest i would recommend to reduce this price.
New building and hotel, although it is an Express I couldn’t tell the difference from most Holiday Inn, In fact much better than some Crowne Plaza for example ... nice and friendly staff, my status recognized, average breakfast. Public parking next building, 20 eur for 24 hours. Train station 2 minutes on foot. Doesn’t have a restaurant but plenty of choice nearby. Probably the best Express I have been to
We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was very nice with awesome blockouts. Walls are a bit thin, as we could hear the guests next door. Alina, the lady at reception was sooooo nice. Giving us advice on how to spend our days there etc. Explained where what is and how the travel pass works. The travel passes provided by the hotel are awesome and makes sightseeing a pleasure, especially in cold weather. We were lucky to be here while the light festival was on and enjoyed that as well. The breakfast is a bit skimpy... Just scrambled and boiled eggs for example. But enough to last you until an early lunch. Great service, especially by reception staff.
We stayed her for 2 nights in October and couldn't find a problem !! Ailena was the girl who checked us in, very professional with attention to detail, this lady was very through with any questions we had about day trips, travel ,even best places to dine or visit while we were there. our visit was made perfect by this Lady, and the hotel was spotless and a stones throw from the train stop . Couldn't ask for better..
Had a very bad experience here started with wasted 2 hours of our time during check-in process for a very unacceptable reason, they made a huge mistakes by CHECKING IN OTHER PEOPLE INTO THE ROOMS UNDER OUR RESERVATIONS!! Let’s begin with the worst one, which is dealing with the male receptionist with moustache, wearing white shirt with no name tag on him (on 07/12/2019 at around 7-8pm). Very unprofessional, obviously his laziness can be seen while he’s doing the job, rude & so unhelpful. We have 4 rooms on our reservations, and he said that he can only find a reservation for 1 room only in the system. Because of that, he refused to serve us by telling that we didn’t have “enough” rooms on reservations, even after we provided him with confirmation of the reservations showing exactly the confirmation number & list of guests. To make things worse, he even asked us to pull ourselves aside off the counter and keep on refusing to look on the matter or problem that it might have with our reservations repeatedly with a sour facial expression. Fortunately, at the next check-in counter was our friends, checking in 2 rooms on separate reservations than us (in total, all of us have 6 rooms). They had no problem with it, initially. After the male receptionist verbally pulled us aside off the counter, we went to that counter. Thankfully, the female receptionist was able to help us on our reservations. A very nice & polite lady. However, another problem arised. 3 of our rooms under our reservations (and of course under our names) had been given to other people who checked-in earlier. It was verified when one of my friends found someone in the room after opened the room door. So, the next episode of the drama began, which the receptionist called the rooms thru phone and asked them to come down to check-in counter. Most of them came down and were asked for their passports by the receptionist for verification. It turned out that they have not been checked in under their reservations, but instead under ours. How can such a mistake happened? Supposedly, all reservations are verified with customers ID or reservations confirmation presented in order to check-in. This is a safety & security matters & should not be handled lightly. And apparently, this hotel did not particularly take this matter seriously. To this extend, I am very pissed off especially to the male receptionist who refused us at the very beginning without even looking into the problem it might have, WHICH IS ACTUALLY CAUSED BY THEIR MISTAKES!! And of course, not a single apologize or smile or word coming from the male receptionist for the mistakes he did. So arrogant & rude. We can see him keep on going here & there in front of us, but of course not even looking at us. Not at all! Only the female receptionist who did apologize to us & sort everything out for us & those customers who also affected by this. Really appreciate her effort. We settled everything at around 9pm after 2 hours waiting. All of us were too tired already as we had a delayed flight from London earlier. So, we just take our room keys and went to our room. This will be our last time staying here. As compensation for this serious mistakes by them, we were only offered a drink. Just a drink! Oh come on, a drink can’t compensate the trouble you caused us! Better just keep it in your fridge. Is there anybody here can tell us if we can lodge to police or any legal body for what happened to us? This is a matter of safety & security. Thank you in advance.…
