Amazing architecture and nature combine with both Japanese and international art. If you visit the island and all the museums, stay at Benesse House. Certainly, the hotel is pricey but you get so much more visiting the whole complex.

Put Naoshima on you’re Japan travel itinerary. Staying at the House adds to the overall experience. The hotel had a great buffet breakfast. Walking around and looking at the art installations felt out of this world. I took phots at night and early morning for unique back drops.

This was our second time staying at the Museum - we stayed in a standard twin as deluxe twin wasn't available for our stay. Location: If you haven't been yet, Benesse Art House is definitely a premium, even idyllic experience. If if fits within your budget, I would say it's

I had wanted to come here for a long time and had a wonderful time. Pros - stayed at the beach. Being right on the water was so peaceful and serene. Loved it. Agent told us to go to the French restaurant, which went against our inclinations, visiting Japan, but it was the

I "guess" that if you are in the Oval ...you will have some priority . Contact Benasse House as soon as you arrive in Japan .

Hi Definitely check out Teshima Island which is close to Naoshima. Amazing and unique art galleries Regarding eating Check out the guest houses on the islands they serve cheap delicious food. We enjoyed lunch at Konnichiwa cafe on Naoshima. Beautiful people, super friendly. The cafes don’t have large signage so you need to look keenly. Hiring a bike is a good idea as you will notice more that way. I hope you have a great time but you really can’t go wrong in Japan Cheers Andy

If you are not japanese with easy access to French/Western food at home, try the Keiseki (japanese) - its good and very Naoshima focused. Both restaurants are ok, but neither is great food. They are safe and pleasant - for that overcharged.
