Our stay at Hakuba was very enjoyable, all thanks to the ever-helpful staff at Gakuto and the lovely villa. The villa had everything we needed and the under floor heating made the place so welcoming after our days in the snow. The nightly runs to the supermarket were great, allowing us to pick up food that we cooked in the...

Very nice modern double-storey house with good heating and amenities. Kitchen was well-equipped. However, its not very child-friendly as the staircase railings are only supported by cables. We had crawling babies and children, so we had to put our suitcases to block the kids from tumbling through the cables. Breakfast provided was so-so. One morning, there wasn't enough to eat...

Gakuto Villas is glad to let you know that your concerns have been taken into consideration, and now a guard rail has been built, so you wouldn’t need to worry about your children’s safety. We at Gakuto Villas hope that you will choose us for your next stay at Hakuba! Warm regards, The Gakuto Villas Team

Had a fantastic week staying at Gakuto Villas, Hakuba, in Oct 12 as part of a tour of Japan. Relaxed spacious Alpine feel to the area. The villas were absolutly fantastic, beautifully finished, with free wifi & a car parking spot! Scenery was beautiful with some wicked downhill Mountain bike routes easily accessable from Gakuto (which was the main reason...

We stayed here for 14 days in January 2013. We had 4 adults and 1 teenager and the space was just perfect for us. The location is great as you're a short walk to the Happo One ski lifts and you can ski home. The staff were great and picked us up/dropped us off at the bus station and at...

We booked 2 villas at the beginning of Feb for 6 nights. The villas were new, clean and warm. The main drawback was the lack of side rails on the stairs and upstairs landing area which made it unsafe for young children. Our group had 4 young children under 2 years old and we had to constantly keep an eye...

The villas themselves were very modern and spacious, even by western standards. We were in a group of 6 and had a trundle bed added to accommodate us all and I never felt that we were short on space. The kitchen included microwave, stove-top, sink, fridge and small pantry, but we found ourselves eating out most nights, so really only...

We stayed here in January It was wonderful. The Villa is spotless, modern and warm. The underfloor heating is a little slice of heaven after a big day in the snow. We never had wet gear the next day :) The villa is in a excellent position with bus stop out front, a very short walk to the pickup spot...

“We had Villa02, which received a bit of noise on the Saturday night with revelling skiiers heading home - perhaps the higher numbers, off the street, would not suffer this. But I only mention it for people who would prefer absolute quiet - we loved being so close to the bus stop!”
