Welcoming host and staff for an enjoyable stay. Basic western rooms , clean and good breakfast. Highlight was the fabulous tepan restaurant downstairs in the evenings. We had a car otherwise a little away from chair lifts.

Omg, a great evening with superb food. Shige pulling the beers and Mama San running the kitchen - what more can you ask for! Thanks to Cody for brilliant service. Going back next week... Highly recommended but phone ahead for a table. James

I have not stayed at the hotel, but I had many meals in the restaurant. The owner is exceptional and very entertaining. The food is excellent. A MUST go for the after ski! If you love sake, you will be well treated in this place!

I have stayed at Canadian Village in Hakuba-Mura in 2009 and again in 2010 with trying another place last year. Needless to say I am booking Canadian Village again for our next trip. This is a family run B & B with a lovely teppanyaki bar downstairs which I would have to say is the best place to eat in...

“All rooms have single beds in various configurations so don't expect a very romantic option. The atmosphere, and proximity to the Goryu more than make up for this”
