This place never lets me down. Old Costa Rica like it used to be and should be, in totally comfortable accommodations. Great food in the restaurant, and a quick walk or drive to the best beach in The Guanacaste. Super friendly staff of ladies that...More

Thanks for taking the time to do a review it is always appreciated.
We went to Marbella Surf Inn for our daughter's destination wedding. The Inn is located off the beaten path, in the middle of lush landscaping, spacious pastures with grazing cows and horses. Also it was about a 1 mile ride to the beautiful black sand...More

Yes all shuttles will take you from Liberia Airport to Marbella. Cost is about $120. There is public transport that picks up at the southend of the airport (Pampa Lines) and go to Santa Cruz about every 30 minutes. The last bus from Santa Cruz is at 4pm for Marbella and it takes about an hour by bus from the airport to Santa Cruz. Trip from Santa Cruz to Marbella is about 1.5 hours. You will have to change bus stations in Stanta Cruz because the bus that brings you in will be at the stations that serves Liberia and Nicoya. The bus driver can direct you or right outside the bus terminal take a cab for $1. The 2 terminals are on opposite ends of town.
There is a ZIP Line at Rio Seco about 20 mins north and one at Nosara about 30 mins south. Both are very good ZIPS. Rio Seco costs about $55 and Nosara $75 for about a 2 hour adventure ZIP through the forest canopy.
If you like to hike there are lots of walks along the beach here. I have had clients hike from Playa Marbella to Playa San Jaunillo to the south and from Playa Marbella to Playa Logarto. There are great hikes along the small inland roads as well. The area is very much a natures paradise with lots of Howlers to see and hear on the hikes.
There is horseback and ATV adventures about 5 mins from the hotel.
Transport from the hotel to these is free and I can line these up for you.
