The dorms and the bathrooms were about the same in other refuges we stayed on while hiking TMB. However, dinner was better than usual, and the staff were friendlier. Breakfast was not awesome, but it did come with hard boiled eggs. There is also a little grocery store right across the street where we bought supplies for the next day’s... More

I had a private room with sink and a shared bath/shower, which was a welcome sanctuary after several days on the TMB staying in dorms. Outside of the room, I can't say much for my experience here. Pros: - The room seemed new, it was relatively spacious, the bed comfortable. - The showers and bathrooms were clean and easily accessible.... More

A big thank you to the busy, efficient and unfailingly friendly and pleasant staff of this busy little hotel on the Col between France and Switzerland. I stayed in the clean if a little crowded dortoir-good value with hot showers and great food! The breakfast was also excellent! Thank you.

My husband I and were on our 8 day TMB adventure, mainly staying in mountain refugios and ready for a bit of a 'luxury' upgrade so we topped at Hotel de le Forclaz for a private room. The hotel staff was excellent and helpful. Great wifi signal in the lobby and dining room, although it didn't reach our room (we're... More

This is the only hotel in town and is a rustic affair. The single rooms are small but adequate with shower and toilet. There's a dormitory along with a yurt and places for campers. The attached restaurant is good for dinner and breakfast. There is wifi but it's pretty sketchy. I had a Skype call with Had several interruptions but... More

My husband and I stayed overnight here as part of a Tour du Mont Blanc trek and ate dinner at the restaurant. This is a basic hotel, but there really are not any fancy options in the area. The room was very basic with just a sink and a rather hard mattress, but it was clean and the staff was... More

Reasonably clean stay for TMB. Showers are shared. However, we had an absolutely awful quality meal (dinner) and the breakfast was not particularly great, either. If you must stay here, you'll survive-- but you won't look back on it as anything more than a place that got the job done.

I stayed here on day 2 of the Tour du Mont Blanc. We had been told that this was a basic accommodation with shared shower facilities. I was in a twin room that was clean and the bed was comfortable. The showers were clean with plenty of hot water. Dinner was tasty and there was plenty of food with the... More

Stopped here on short section of TMB. Has everything you need with regard to fulfilling a walking itinerary. Just beware, do not order a packed lunch for next days travel from the hotel itself...I made this mistake, and at 32CHF for two, it is def not worth it...Instead buy some sandwiches from the shop across the road. Staff friendly and... More

This is a basic mountain lodge, with some rooms having private bathrooms and some shared ones. We lucked out and had a private bath. The room was spacious. Dinner was better than expected, and breakfast very basic (one croissant per guest). The location can't be beat, right on the route of the Tour du Mont Blanc.
