We were booked in the Baghira Loghuts and this is my first stay inside a game reserve. The best part of the stay is the food. It's delicious and lip smackingly good! Unlimited food adds to the delight! The highlight of the Kanha National Park is the tiger and unfortunately we didnt get to see even a single tiger. The safari guards and guides know the place well and can determine the presence of tiger with just a sound! They are very co operative, So those who haven't stayed in the old propety of Baghira Loghuts are surely going to miss the experience of staying in the middle of nowhere. All in all this place is worth a Visit or two!
You must stay here atleast once because the location is within the core area of kanha where you need to cross the main entry gate of kisli zone and stay almost 3 to 4 km inside the core area where you may stay for a while in the road to give pass to the wild animal while going to the dinning room. rooms are ok. food also just ok. they should take care of that. overall experience is very good. Yes i will there again within a year.
This is a new property of MP tourism outside the Kanha safari and beside the river. A very pleasant stay. The difference between the Super Deluxe and the Deluxe is just a bath tub.
All the rooms are very spacious and easily a minimum of accommodate 2 king size bed. The rooms are maintained well and have a mini refrigerator, hot flask (just in case you want to make your own tea/ coffee - amenities given.
All the super deluxe rooms are on the first floor and 2 deluxe rooms are on the ground floor. Both pretty nice.
It is a Situated nearly 4 Kms from main Khatiya Gate. It is like living inside the core forest. We can see Indian Gaur strolling near restaurant. We also heard Tiger Roar in night. If you want take Jungle experience right in Resort then visit this place. Also I liked the food.
What an ambience!! Unbelievable Situated 3-4 kms from the khatiya gate into the core area of the jungle We came from Jabalpur by 5pm in the evening. Only one disappointment that we could not get the rooms 1-8 as some VVIPs had been allotted all those. Lucky on one side and unlucky on another. As dusk came very quickly we could find various of animal and insect sounds around the place. The langoors climbed up the higher branches after a drink. The deer troupe crossed the roads quickly, a busy jackle couple on their toes for a rabbit hunt....peacocks cawing....the big animals like gaurs forming a large group staying together.....eyes glowing in the dark......all happening within 50 meters from your balcony....a growl by a leopard....probably successfully hunted. We were escorted back and forth to the canteen, some 200 mts from our cottages in this wilderness at night around 8.30-9.00 pm to feast on roasted chicken and parathas. It was damn thrilling/frightening.... The next day safari we split up into two teams covering 2 different gates, kanha and kisli... We could just catch the glimpses of the 🐯, but sighting was not as satisfactory compared to bandhavgarh... Apart from just sighting a tiger which Obviously becomes a bonus, the beauty of the jungle needs to be cherished..... Guides were ordinary at kanha..... The jungle is so vast and elaborate that big animals hardly come to front for sighting..... Friends often laugh saying that sighting is guaranteed at zoo. I am also fully with them....right you r u dont love a jungle. Jungles and zoos are ofcourse different. Just as the Thrill and ambience of a stadium differs with TV telecasts.
But this accommodation shuts down soon, so it will be a well cherished and a lifetime nostalgia "baghira log huts" miss you.....no comparison if shifted to mocha.
