We recently enjoyed 4 nights here. We asked for a quiet room with a nice view and we got a lovely spacious room with a beautiful view over the gardens, fountain and distant Highland cattle. The food was excellent and the service superb, friendly, helpful and prompt. Dining was spread over a number of different rooms so hotel guests had privacy from larger parties but never felt forgotten. The beds were so comfortable, loved it. Thank you.

We arranged an afternoon tea to celebrate my in-laws 60th anniversary with about 20 of their friends. We then stayed the night so enjoyed dinner and breakfast. This is a true country house hotel, run by the owners and their family. The attentive service and care was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and all provided with real generosity of spirit. There is real love behind what they do. We stayed in the coach house just to the side of the main building as it was wheelchair accessible for my sister in-law. This was actually two suites which were connected so we were all together really. The facilities for disabled were outstanding, electronically adjustable beds, and a huge wet room . The decor is really vintage with lots of antiques and artwork as is suitable for what was once a large shooting lodge. Dining is divided between a few rooms so it is really cozy and intimate. The food was all delicious and very well presented. The breakfast is all you could wish for and freshly cooked to order. Just a real treat with lovely people. We can't wait to return, even if it is just to enjoy excellent coffee in beautiful surroundings .

Stayed here whilst on a classic car tour. A wonderful if somewaht eccentric hotel. A victorian hunting lodge that was converted to a hotel in 1949. Friendly and helpful staff, food and drink excellent.

Our 25th anniversary-spent not too far away in this amazing retreat. The second you enter the hotel calm sets in… can’t describe it but we had a fab time, great and warm service, fab food and drinks. Just perfect for the occasion and the last 18 months of hardship
