Visited this establishment for the first time in many years and was suitably impressed. Ambience was good. Waiter was very attentive. Food was tasty and plentiful. We opted for the 2 course lunch at £9.95 but there is a very extensive a la carte menu. Parking is close by in the main square in Alyth. Cross the bridge to the...

Heard about this place through friends. Well impressed with quality of the food, and the service. Very healthy portions for both starter and main course, couldn't eat it all! Staff were very nice, and attentive.

Did an overnight through Groupon deal,so bed, breakfast and evening meal. The food was faultless, great service from everyone concerned. There is a residents bar,but it seemed to be doubling as an office at the time, with papers.etc all over a couple of tables. Pretty harsh lighting, not a place to relax either during the day or night. The was a public bar,but when I looked...

Busy hotel restaurant in the centre of this former market place town. Hard to believe the gently flowing burn caused so much damage and destruction. Good to see the town and the hotel carefully restored and the refurbished hotel space works well. We visited on a Friday night and there was barely a table to spare. Booking may be required....

We thought our rooms looked a little tired but was soon forgotten by our evening meals which were fantastic. The staff were very accommodating to all our needs! Breakfast first morning was a little greasy but the 2nd morning not so much. We had a lovely visit to Scone Palace an amazing place with beautiful grounds and an array of...

A hidden gem - an unpretentious menu with the emphasis on quality local ingredients and respectable portion sizes. The slow cooked pork belly was fabulous with a fantastic range of glazed vegetables. Using a Taste or gourmet card will get you 50% off the A la carte menu. Child friendly.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Alyth. The service and food were second to none. We had a lovely view from our room over the river. Staff were very friendly and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a night away in this part of the country

Went for lunch today purely because we had a spree voucher. Very glad we did. Lunch was delicious, food was cooked to perfection and piping hot -the waiter serving us was very pleasant. It was very quiet which for a Saturday lunchtime made me worry for viability but it's very much worth a visit!

Thank Jennifer O
