I visited with 4 other familty members around Christmas time for 1 night, this is a very welcoming lodge nestled in the bush with super-helpful staff and owner. Beautiful property with large breakfast/dinner deck where a small herd of Kudu wandered up during breakfast, a wonderful sight to see. Very good location for a stopoff on the way to Mozambique...

Dear J&H, Happy to hear you made it back safely to Johannesburg. What a coincidence it was that you also stayed at Casa 21 in Mozambique. Even though your stay with us at Needles was only one night we really enjoyed your visit and the Irish banter! Now you know where we are you can stay longer next time. Thank...

My wife and I stayed at Needles for 3 nights in early January 2016. After a long but not unpleasant 5 hour drive we arrived at the lodge and were warmly welcomed by Trafina. She offered us cool towels and a refreshing cool drink. We were shown to our well appointed room. This had a very comfortable large double bed....

We had a wonderful stay - thanks so much to everyone at Needles. Comfy beds, superb food and wonderful service - with a really personal service. Personal highlight; sharing the deck with wide eyed bush babies and feeding the local zebras a carrot or two. I'd definitely come back!
