Wife and I have just been for a nice Sunday evening meal . Staff were disinterested when we turned up , felt like we were intruding on their busy day . I had haddock and chips wife the steak pie and chips . Pie was very tasty . Fish was average , chips were a disgrace , looked and tasted...

We were up for a family party so just staying the one night. Arrived late afternoon and found our room - it was all a bit tired. The hotel was an unfortunate mix of traditional and modern furniture so we just got over it, enjoyed a drink before we went out, enjoyed an ok breakfast with cheerful staff around us...

Lovely hotel set in a small village, we had visited the White Lion on a couple of occasions for lunch and dinner. We were visiting the area so decided to book a room. In arrival we were greeted very politely and directed to our room. The room we had was room 12 which must have one of the smallest bathrooms...

Decent range of well kept and tasty cask ales. Delicious well prepared food. Staff professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Not for eating on a budget but well worth searching out this little gem, highly recommended.

Having found the white lion through trip advisor, myself and my wife decided to book a room and a meal.... I have to say the food was amazing, we shared a meat starter which was divine... the lamb is highly recommended as a main meal, it was the best lamb I've ever tasted.. the duck was also a great dish......

I visited here on Friday lunch time and had a great meal. It was super tasty, the service was good and overall a really lovely experience! I think I will definitely be back for an evening meal at some point because the lunch sandwiches really were amazing. A few people had the fish finger sandwich which really looked great! Also...

Stayed here twice, both times have been fine. The price has been good both times, the bathrooms are recently refurbished and lovely. The rooms are clean, well decorated and very comfortable. I did notice the thin walls this time, but it's an old building. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the service was perfect, the guy that was...

Booked in for a second time as it was very handy for the motorway. Excellent staff as usual and great value for money. Booked into a Premier Inn the previous night and in comparison it was awful. Keep up the good work. Will possibly book in during the summer on my journey back to Glasgow from Devon and bring the...

Food was pretty good. I thought the Staff were very friendly and polite. However, the rooms are tired and minimally updated, burn holes in the carpet, one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in, and you can hear everything those above and next to you are doing! Bathrooms are in desperate need of doing up. Overall the...

I have been a big critic of this place but keep trying it as I am local. Food was good as I've said before but service and attitude still isn't very good. They just don't care and I'm not surprised that for a Saturday night it wasn't full.

Thank Shaun L
