I normally wait until I have checked out, but I haven't even finished my meal yet. This place is spectacular. The room is amazing, the meal delicious, the service perfect and the ambience warm and inviting. The views, the beach, the proximity to so much of this beautiful part of Connemara are just the icing on the cake. Put it on your bucket list.
Lovely family run hotel set in a hidden gem of the Mannin Bay Blueway area. Beautiful pristine white sanded beaches with clear blue waters. Perfect for families. No jelly fish whilst we were there! Lots of wildlife from nearby cattle to horses and donkeys on the beach. Lots to do in the area. Recommend Kylemore Abbey, Dogs Bay, Connemara National Park, Killary Fjords boat tour. Many more that we didn't get to do - looking forward to returning.
Great Location to explore Connemara. Wonderful Beach on your doorstep and to explore the coastal headland. Relaxed and friendly place to stay, staff couldn't be nicer. Great place to experience traditional Irish hospitality. Good Food too .
We had a really spacious suite- a living room with very comfy, large sofa, table & chairs, tea making facilities & coffee machine, double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom (shower in bath). The living room has French windows out onto veranda where there were 2 wooden sun chairs. Beds were very comfortable. We had a tasty meal in the restaurant and the breakfasts (cooked to order & buffet) were excellent. Location is stunning - surrounded by ethereal Connemara beauty and right in the beach. 10 min walk to nearest village with pub, shop etc. Highlight was the spa experience- nice relaxation room but therapists were both outstanding.
We are staying at Connemara sands hotel with our 3 kids at the moment. At breakfast , the pastry is limited , if u arrive early you eat. Breakfast is still 10 o clock , we were at the table at 9:15 and the pastry, bread were gone . I asked one of the waitress 3 times to check if they were bringing out some more. I had to ask another member of the staff cause this girls never got back to me . The answer was no. The cleaning is bad . If u have kids and expect the rooms to be vaccumed, forget about it . Vacuuming is not part of the service I was informed. So we were booked for a week , in a very expensive suite and the floor is going to be dirty cause they won’t vacuum . By the way , there are two vacuums outside the lift since I got here , on the way , I just don’t know why ? Expensive hotel and poor service offered.…
Stayed in the Connemara sands this week for 2 nights in a deluxe suite. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous, food was faultless both evening dinner and breakfast. Staff were all so nice and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. My mom of 83 thoroughly enjoyed her stay and is recommending your hotel to all her friends. She had a massage in the spa which she loved also. Myself, my teenage daughter and my niece thoroughly enjoyed our stay also and will definitely be returning next summer for another stay. A jewel in the middle of Connemara. A must stay for anyone wanting to get away from it all to relax and unwind right next to the ocean. Absolutely gorgeous hotel.
This hotel is so clean- the rooms and common areas are spotless. This is the model and I would encourage hoteliers to visit and take note! The only thing missing for me was a hand held shower attachment. The Voya toiletries are lovely. The location is so special with it’s own beach access to the stunning Manin Bay. I keep returning every year to find it gets better and better. Breakfast is very nice and there is also a great evening menu.
Spent 4 nights in this hotel food amazing also service excellent Room lovely with deck weather not good but did not deter from our lovely break here we’ll done a credit to the owners and to our country to have a place like this we will be back
Fantastic place to chill out, superb locally sourced food and lovely friendly helpful staff. Add in a relaxing massage, and the setting looking across the bay. Perfect place to spend our Wedding Anniversary. We will definitely return.
We are just back from a fabulous 3 days in Connemara Sands. It is a beautiful hotel that has been designed to the highest standard with attention to the tiniest of details such as lighting, mirrors, soft furnishings. The owners and staff are friendly, attentive and running a top class venue. It is not pretentious or stuffy and it was a pleasure to spend time there. It also has its own private beach, which was beautiful. The food was exceptional we opted to not eat anywhere else as the evening menu was amazing, with locally sourced ingredients that are fresh and so tasty. Dean, Kathy and your wonderful team we will be back and we will spread the word.
