Detailed Reviews
We have been staying in B&B's in Ireland for over a week now and Bernie's service and attention to detail is outstanding. We even had washcloths, something you never get over here. She served a beautiful breakfast - the eggs and bacon cooked to perfection.? Plus, delicious cheeses and selection of cereals. And her coffee is the best yet! Clean, warm, comfortable. My husband and I highly recommend it.

The room is very big and has a seating area like a full suite. The owner was so helpful and welcomed us with lots of information about eateries and walks and tours in the local area. She kept the heating on when it was cold, knowing we had come from Malaysia and laid out tea and coffee in the lounge that we could help ourselves too. A real Irish welcome which my husband and I appreciate so much taking into consideration that the owner had a family member ill at this time. I highly recmmend this place, the room was really spacious.

Lovely B&B, Bernie is such a lovely lady, she welcomed us with tea and scones which were excellent. We had a lovely conversation on ancestry and how I want to trace my Irish roots and its all genuine, its not put on, just genuine Irish hospitality. Its a good location for exploring the surrounding area and more with interesting bays and beaches very close by. Lovely breakfast, eggs cooked to perfection as others have said. Room was very comfortable, had a great nights sleep. Highly recommend this B&B and I would be happy to stay here again. Lovely B&B and lovely host.

Nice house.uunfortunatly I was put in an attic room above a living room.children woke me up crying and making a lot of noise they were below my bedroom.im a mum of 3 and a teacher this was not what I needed on my holidays. The host bernie was reasonably OK when I complained but her chef took over and actually said people like me and my friends 6 others staying at 80 euro a night were not people who should be staying.he actually insulted my friends.i left then and was still charged full price.if you go there don't let them put you in the attic above sitting room.why couldn't kids and dad stay in there own room.very bad experience for me and friends.why was chef allowed to harass me.very weird.

Stayed there last week-end and we had a very friendly welcome from Bernie
The room where we stayed was lovely and tastefully decorated and we had a very nice breakfast
It is a B&B where I would definitely return too and the location is a good base for touring this section of Connemara.

My husband and I stayed four nights instead of the initially planned two. Why travel elsewhere when we had found a perfect B & B for our country holiday. Mannin Lodge was exactly what we were looking for. A well-kept comfortable house, pretty, well-equipped rooms, nice peaceful location, delicious breakfast, and the owners Mr and Mrs O'Neill were so nice, warm and welcoming people. We really recommend Mannin Lodge for a perfect country holiday.

I stayed at the Mannin Lodge with my granddaughter in May and highly recommend it. Location just outside of Clifden was beautiful. Bernie was a wonderful host and the breakfast was delicious! Bernie is very familiar with the area and when we mentioned the family name she knew just where they were from and brought us out to meet a member of the family. Mannin Lodge is one of the nicest B&B's that I've stayed in Ireland and hope to go back again soon.

Spent 3 nights here very recently, Bernie and Sean are excellent hosts and looked after us very well. The B&B is absolutely first class, our rooms were huge with a massive comfortable bed to and en suite.Breakfast each morning was plentiful and a great choice with even salmon which my good lady took a great shine to with the scrambled egg, little things that make any stay enjoyable.

Located ideally situated for visiting Connemara within Galway. Bernie and Sean are excellent friendly hosts, the breakfasts are so good you are well set up for a days sightseeing. The room was very comfortable and the ensuite was fully stocked with fresh towels daily. Tea and coffee available in room. There is also a separate guest lounge with tea & coffee available, plus a roaring peat log fire, most welcome one day as it turned very chilly even though it was August! Plenty of parking available. The overall cost was very reasonable. We are more than happy to fully recommend Mannin Lodge B&B and its lovely hosts, Bernie & Sean.

Received a really warm and very friendly welcome. The room was huge with an excellent sized en suite although the shower itself was a bit on the small side. We were asked to order our breakfast the evening before which is always fine by us.
The area is really beautiful with lots of good and really interesting places to visit, make sure you visit the Alcock & Brown landing site / Marconi memorial, great beaches too.
Had an excellent night’s sleep, the bed was extremely comfortable and it was so quiet during the night, we were very well looked after and Bernie ensured that we were plenty warm enough.
We had all that we could ever wish for in a breakfast; fruit salad, cereals, salmon, cheese, home cooked bread; and then the full Irish which was cooked perfectly and good quality ingredients; and wonderful service by Bernie
In all a wonderful stay and will stay again when next in the area.
