Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Perfect stop in the region for a surprising city. The hotel is right down town and has a very large parking which is very convenient. Rooms are very large with well appointed bathroom (separate toilets). Very quiet and we found the bed very confortable. Very pleasant and spacious dining room including rather high ceiling. Quillan is full surprise and much more animated than expected. We met various local people who did welcome us. Thank you

We didn't expect much before we arrived, but the room was fantastic: very large, big bathroom & shower, very quiet, awesome bed. Breakfast was over the top, and I highly recommend it. It might look like just another big hotel, but the rooms are fantastic!

A really tiring but good rideacross France took me here. I had a really friendly welcome and enjoyed my two days. The staff in the bar/restaurant were really lovely. Easy parking outside for the motorbike. The Gorges de St Georges were epic riding. Rode up to a couple of Cols, beautiful white horses at the top. Then on to Ax Les Thermes.

I had booked a mountain view room and the first I was given faced a concrete wall. A discussion at reception later had me carrying my bags upstairs to the third floor where there was a small balcony and a view of some trees across the road - there are no mountain views. No big deal but the hotel room was spartan and the decor old and unappealing. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom OK if you do not mind plastic shower sheets. The food and beverage was unexceptional except for the spring rolls which were terrific. I stayed here two different nights. I think part of the problem is they are understaffed with family struggling with their no English and my poor French. It is probably the best accommodation in Quillan so I should perhaps not be so critical.

Stayed one night sharing room with a friend on a cycling trip. Room was very comfortable with good air-conditioning which was relief during the heatwave this summer. Hotel is centrally located in town and even though at a cross-roads, we were not bothered by any traffic noise. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and very kindly offered to lock up our bikes in a safe location. Best feature of the hotel is their restaurant where we had a very nice dinner (I recommend the cassoulet) and equally pleasant breakfast.

We recently stayed here one night and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. It was beautifully clean and spacious with plenty of room to hang clothes and put cases. There was a small frig, great lighting and a large well appointed bathroom.

Visited on a Friday night when the restaurant was buzzing but not packed. There appeared to be only one waitress on duty but she was extremely efficient and very helpful in describing the various dishes. My starter of a savoury Panna cotta with asparagus was delicious and the other courses more than satisfactory. My other half chose the Vietnamese menu opting for the wanton soup and green chicken curry. Again very good. The bill for three of us including pre dinner drinks, a bottle and a half of very palatable wine and espresso coffees came in at 110 euros. Exceptional value for a very good meal served in a very airy and elegant dining room. Recommended!

Hotel rooms are large and updated. They have a Vietnamese restaurant there at the hotel, as the wife is from Vietnam and a chef. There are other restaurants nearby also. The breakfast had a lot of variety and lots of different fruits, two types of ham, hard boiled and fried eggs, several fruit juices, etc. Bed was solid and comfortable. Friendly owners

We stayed in this hotel over the weekend few days ago on our trip to Carcassone and Quillan. We loved the location of this hotel- it was on the main road, yet felt like it was tucked away in the interiors, away from the hustle bustle and noise. In the mornings we would wake up to the beautiful sounds of birds chirping and when we stepped into the balcony, we were surrounded by greenery and beautiful views. There are couple of bars and restaurants and pharmacies within two-three blocks. The apparent town center is in the alley right behind the hotel. The center has great bakery, Asian restaurant and couple of other good eateries. The staff were not the most pleasant or friendly, but were hospitable enough. Regarding the quality of accommodation, the rooms were very clean, modern and well maintained. The TVs were way too small, but personally for me, the modern ambience of the bathrooms and good interiors made up for any other lacks. It is in a great location and smart choice for visiting Quillan or Carcassone. It is just 40 minutes away from Carcassone. The hotel has a Vietnamese restaurant right inside it, however we never got to try it. The only disconcerting experience was on one of the mornings when we stayed there, the town had a Motorbike festival and literally hundreds of bikers rode by the hotel causing heavy noise. We know the hotel management was not responsible for this, but it was very off putting to be woken up by heavy noises that lasted for more than a hour. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay rest of the time at this place.
