What a fabulous place for my first ever retreat... the food was excellent too. Fresh nutritional and lovingly prepared. The rooms in the chateau were great. Rustic style in keeping with the area. Looking to go back again for another retreat. There is also a swimming pool and on site holistic treatments offered by Karen. For anyone looking for peace...

Stayed here as part of a pilates group in late June. The quality of the food was excellent but the evening meal portions were very small, but this won't matter now as our group was the last one to be accepted on a catered-for basis. Future guests will have to fend for themselves using the kitchen in the accommodation house....

We joined a group of yoga enthusiasts for a week of yoga here. The yoga itself was amazing and was put on by a separate company. The place is owned by a couple from Northern England who run it on the cheap and cheerful. The house has not been sympathetically restored as it is missing any type of sound proofing...

Surrounded by fields of sunflowers, 3 generations 17 of us from 15-85 all had a wonderful holiday in this hilltop house. Karen and John were very welcoming and produced an excellent meal when we couldn't be bothered to cook. We did a lot of lazing, the night market in Duras was a good outing, other than that we rarely needed...

I spent a week at a yoga retreat here mid-September and then continued on to explore Spain for another month. I never found another place that could touch it. John and Karen are amazing hosts, perhaps the best I have encountered in a lifetime of travel. The food was superb and the place lovely, soothing, tranquil and beautiful. My mistake...

I took a group of 14 people in total for a week's yoga retreat and it couldn't have been more perfect. The accommodation is in a restored chateau which is done very sympathetically, all rooms ensuite. The yoga room was light and airy with a beautiful wooden floor. The food was to die for, in fact when we went out...

We've just arrived back from a week at Chateau Perroterie and wish we were still there. The food and service were of a high standard and we were very well looked after. All the food is home cooked and we were made to feel like part of the famaily. The chateau is located under 3kms from Duras where you have...

Self catering for up to 16 people, all rooms en-suite. Plenty of room outside and inside, we had a good time here. Massages in the Chateau were very good. Local Shoppi had a good range of food etc . Allow 100 euros for cleaning unless you want to do a top notch clean before you leave. And expect to pay...
