A gem worth traveling days to reach it. Hospitable, clean, serving traditional foods in a lovely dining room. Rooms are special with views and fresh air and breezes. The staff is here to teach the history of this former settlement. Just wonderful in every way including great beds and water pressure:)

Our adventure started with a wonderful chat with Annette at the dock before heading out on the Iceberg Hunter to Battle Harbour. She told us many interesting things about the people and the history which was a wonderful beginning to what turned out to be one of the most remarkable parts of our vacation. On the way, we could see...

Our captain got us to Battle Harbour for our two night stay. Peter, our Host, and his loyal crew are marvellous and all so very hard working. The constable cottage was our home for the next two days and was very comfortable with luxurious bedding and up-to-date washroom facilities. We had a wonderful view overlooking the village and icebergs. A...

We were here as a family 12 years ago and really wanted to come back, but it's bit of a commitment to get here so it took a while. Right from the dock in Marys Harbour through the whole 3 days/2 nights we were treated with first-class personal attention. The food was excellent and included some very traditional meals. We...

For city folks the drive from Red Bay to Mary's Harbor was arduous and after 15 minutes in a pouring rain we were ready to turn back. We took the 3:30 Ferry from St Barb. Stopped to eat in Fortu. We slept in Mary Harbor at an efficiency called Noel. The next morning we took the 11:am boat to Battle...

One could, and perhaps should, write a book about the adventure that is Battle Harbour. Others have done so and more is sure to appear in various travel blogs and articles. Fifteen kilometres off the south-eastern tip of Labrador (essentially the most easterly point of main-land North America) and accessible only by a modest sized ferry (no cars, hope for...

Yes it's beautiful, and yes,it's unique, but our family of three paid 1200 dollars for a 2-night stay; there were no cheaper choices. The staff disparaged the day-trippers who showed up, but day-tripping might be the sensible option if you're not a millionaire. We pretty much had the place to ourselves, and I guess that's because of the frankly exclusionary...

Battle Harbour, Labrador Visited August 16,17,18 2014 From the greeting at Mary's Harbour to the farewell everything was warm and friendly. I was traveling alone and booked a bunk in the Cookhouse Bunkhouse. I had it all to myself large room ( 12 bunks) with a big wood fired store. The bathroom was spotless and the shower hot. The bunk...

We traveled to Battle Harbour with 2 small children in early July. The gravel road from Red Bay was a bit of an adventure, but part of the experience. The road is being improved currently, but make sure you have a good spare tire. We stayed 3 nights and easily could have been there a week. The island is breathtaking....

I feel extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to spend a night in Battle Harbour. The staff were wonderful and we were given our own personal tour of the island by one of the local residents. The food was pleasing to the palate and the kitchen staff were delightful. We even had the pleasure to try seal which was...
