Detailed Reviews
Our en-suite room was comfortable, but we did not like the foam mattress. We were able to leave at 05:00 to catch the 08:00 ferry back to Newfoundland, and appreciated the fact that we could get some apples and bananas for breakfast on the run.

We have stopped in this small bed and breakfast right by chance. The double room is 70 CAD and a single 55 CAD, breakfast included. The position of the place is incredible; if all other houses of the village are far from the ocean, this small house is right by the ocean, less than 50 meters!!! There is a wonderful sitting room on the second floor with a panoramic view over the ocean. We have observed the SUNSET in the most fantastic way, we shall really never forget it!!! The days are pretty long in June, it started to become dark at around 22 00. We were sitting in the sitting room and sipping our tea with the most beautiful ocean view we ever saw.
They have very good Internet connection - wi fi.
The breakfast should be planned at around 08 am because the owner leaves at about that time. And is is OK. They serve hot toasts and 5 types of HOME MADE JAMS; patridge berry jams and bakeapple jams were good but just try squash berry jam, it was to die for!!! RECOMMENDED, VERY GOOD PLACE!!!!

We spent one night at the Basinview. This is a VERY clean B&B. We had a room with a bathroom (some rooms share a bathroom) which had a nice shower and no tub. Breakfast was good-two eggs, meat, toast, OJ. There were many yummy jams/jellies.
The only down side is the steps-there are no ground level entries. This was not easy as my husband is mobility-impaired. There were at least 10 steps.
We highly recommend the Basinview EXCEPT if you have mobility issues.

We had the ensuite room and found it very comfortable. Our host set up coffee and toast for us as we hit the road to catch the ferry at 900 and need to get in line early. She was very nice and the views from the living room were a place to relax in. Thanks 90.00 for the night

When we first arrived our host was not at home but she arrived within a few minutes. She was so nice and showed us to our room and explained where everything was including an invitation to go into the living room to use as we wished. The beds were very comfortable and the view just outside the door is fantastic. You can go for a walk along the water or just listen the peaceful sounds of it, It was extremely clean and each bedroom had a quilt that she had made on the bed. In the morning she made us bake apple jam from frozen berries that she had picked. Our host was so nice and friendly we felt so at home here.

This is a nice B and B right on the bay. The accommodation was basic cabin style. It was spotlessly clean and the lovely hand made quilts added real character. The bathroom was across the hall and there was lots of hot water and towels. Breakfast was coffee, toast and muffins with great views over the bay. It was still quite chilly overnight at the time of year we visited so unfortunately the furnace went on and off through the night and our room was right beside it which disturbed us a little!
We were enjoying the walks in the local area so it suited us very well.
