We loved Lake View Cottage. The owner, who I was told was ' The best ' was not there at the time but the second manager and other staff were warm and helpful and our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed riding on the free bicycles and loved the boat trip. Such an amazing variety of wildlife. At dusk...

Not easy to find as it is the last hotel along a small country road but worth the ride! Had a downstairs room, quiet, kettle/cups/tea/coffee/water, bed with netting, huge bathroom. Again, as in other hotels in which I'd stayed, no wardrobe but for one night, no big deal. The location is simply fabulous and reminded me of a place in...

We took a private car with 2 fellow travellers from Ella to Tissa and paid 1500 each, 6000 in total. The taxi driver struggled to find the cottage as it's miles down a back lane (which i thought was actually the best thing about it!!). After we found it plain sailing! The cottage offer you a free ride from the...

Very good service and friendly people. We were greeted with a delicious welcome drink and they organised the safari and tour of the lake for us. We also got bikes and had a ride around. Would recommend.

We stayed 3 nights in a delux double room with veranda and fell in love with this place from the moment we entered and sipped our welcome drink. The great location directly on the lake offers bird and fisherman watching during the day, a nice sunset over the pagoda across the lake and fireflies in the evening. The room was...
