Our love affair with the Mavi Hotel started about four years ago , this was on a dining only basis , when travelling from Madrid to Santander we would always stop for a meal around lunch time , just could not fault the fab food. So this time we decided to stay at the hotel for the night , arrived about 8.30pm , went to the room and we got a real niff from the bathroom , the drains were honking , so filled the shower with water thinking that the water trap was lost due to evaporation (this can happen in any hot climate) , went down for dinner , food again was spot on very good indeed , so off to bed and the pong was still there , shut the bathroom door.. Not a bad nights sleep , bed comfy . but at 7.30 am we were woken by the bins being emtied by the bin man , full toot noise me…

North of Madrid just off the A1, good distance to stop at for Murcia. Standard double rate Euro50 gone up a lot as has verything. Dining room good meals all very Spanish in outlook but do watch the sleight of hand and I was double charge on a card three years ago so pay cash. Very cold area this time of year.

A busy hotel, very clean and comfortable. Did not use the restaurant but menu looked reasonably priced. Good overnight stop for travellers and drivers. Pleasant English speaking receptionist.

Pleasant meal, but was overcharged 20 euros. Not happy and ended up filling in a reclammacion ... good to know that this exists, just hope it has some effect. Pity, eveything else was going great .. good price, clean rooms, helpful bar staff.

we have stayed here 3 times now the rooms have been recently updated ,the restaurant and the food are really good and rooms and food are reasonbly priced also they have a cafe /bar
