Good location by main road, easy to find, big and free parking at the hotel, kind staff, basic and clean room with warm colors, towels, soap, shampo and water included, comfortable bed. Accepted pet happily and without charging extra fees, and he was perhaps even more satisfied with the room. Thanks! Will be coming back.

Have stayed here once before and decided that it was worth another visit. Although basic, the hotel is clean functional and welcoming. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are acceptably sized. Ate in the comedor and wasn't disappointed. Food is well cooked and relatively inexpensive. Took breakfast in the cafe bar adjoining. Would recommend this as a stop over to/from ferry ports.

We decided to stay here instead of our usual hotel after arriving on the Bilboa ferry. Nearly didnt make it as we had mislaid details of reservation... Plenty car parking. Checked-in and headed to the bar for a much needed cool drinks. Barmaid helpful. Sat outdoors. View of mountains. Room clean and functional. Spanish decor throughout hotel. Had to put bath mat in the bath to have shower (sorry) as the bath surface was very slippery. Very good value. Will return again in the future.

Feel very surprised that I am writing this after reading the good food reviews for this hotel. My dinner was absolutely disgusting, garlic chicken with chips...the chips were warm and tough, the chicken was a very old bird that was tough to get off the bone and the garlic was non-existent. The meal turned up a couple of minutes after ordering so I presume it was microwaved. My husband had the pork loin, chips and peppers. This was okay and hot apart from the cold red peppers straight out of a jar. Very disappointing. The waitress seemed like she didn't care, not going back

Travelling back from the south of Spain, we were looking for somewhere to stay north of Madrid. Couldn’t find anything on the web so kept looking. Complication was that we had two dogs with us. Came across Hotel Mavi and just tried our luck. Room was great basic but clean, dogs allowed and allowed in the bar. Couldn’t believe the price, room was 42euros, two glasses of wine 3.5 euros. Really friendly staff, kept that one in the sat nav for the future.
