We had a lovely two night break over Feb half term. The food was great, the staff friendly and helpful and the room well equipped, clean and tidy. I would recommend a lake view room - well worth it! The location of the hotel is beautiful and handy for visiting loads of the best attractions the south lakes has to...

Sawrey House is quite simply outstanding. Our fourth stay here and the appeal just keeps growing. The views from the hotel are magical with lake view rooms looking out to Esthwaite Water and the surrounding hills. Room 1 on the ground floor is a beautifully appointed large room with both a shower and bath, conveniently located just across from the...

Stayed here for 3 nights earlier this month (Apr 17). The hotel itself is in a stunning spot, with views of the lake and surrounding hills. There is no specific reception but a bell which was attended quickly when rung. (No lift- so if you have mobility issues request a ground floor room). We were booked in the Ethswaite room-...

We were lucky as it was a glorious weekend and this is a good place to stay to explore the Lake District I...

Just back from a lovely 2 night break to this beautiful hotel, the staff could nit of been more helpful nothing was 2 much trouble. The Lake view room was just that, the evening meal is well worth staying in for. We paid extra and had an afternoon tea and was worth it.

We stayed for two nights in the ground floor bedroom between the dining room and the bar. Room had been very nicely decorated and had a lovely lake and garden view. Very nice shower room too. Would request this room if booking a small double room again, although the small double on the second floor is also very nice. Food...

We stayed a couple of nights on a Winter Warmer offer and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, David having resolved a booking mistake on my part, the food was great and we will certainly return. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, all you could ask for if you prefer to be away from the...
