Worth noting that you now have to book to get a table. (They used not to allow booking and you had to take pot luck). My wife and I were enjoying a couple of days in the lakes and were pleased to visit an old haunt. The food is still pretty good and the atmosphere both welcoming and warm due...

I always have to visit this pub on my visits to the Lakes. It is so pretty, it is like stepping back in time inside.Log fires, wooden mismatched furniture and Nick backs on the fireplace. the landlord is so friendly and the beers and the food is excellent ,home cooked, at a great price.A must, if you are in the area....

My second visit here was just as memorable as the first 2 years ago.... Delicious food and great service..... Would highly recommend...... The stew on the menu is the best I have ever tasted. Keep up the good work and see you again in 2 years time. 😀

Went to do the tourist thing on our short break away. Visit to Hill Top to see the home of Beatrix Potter then required lunch. Small friendly pub approx 20 seats inside. Got 2 seats right opposite the fire which was an old range. Ordered sandwiches and local beer . Pity we were driving . Food fresh and tasty and...

We've visited Tower Bank on two previous occasions over the past 18 months and have vowed never to go back. We were staying next door at the buckled heat and thought we would give it one last try as we had constantly been turned away by the owner. OMG !!! What a great warm welcome from Jimmy, and what a...

Visited this restaurant on Saturday night - we were staying at a nearby hotel and didn't fancy the restaurant they had so took a wander out. The staff were lovely and despite a sign on the door saying reservations were essential, they managed to squeeze us in. The pub inside is exactly what we wanted - cosy table by the...

We always visit tower bank arms every time we come to the lakes as it never fails to disappoint. We popped in for lunch on a lovely Saturday during a fantastic walk from hawkshead over Claife heights. The pub was as welcoming as ever with a beautiful fire, lovely sandwiches and beer and wine served by the friendliest staff you...

I booked 2 nights accommodation last minute for New Year and luckily these guys had a cancellation. The pub itself is wonderful and exactly the type of place I was looking for in the Lakes, quaint, cosy, log fire, and very friendly staff. The food was fantastic and on NY eve they included a gala dinner in the room rate...

Had been told before our stay in Far Sawrey that this pub us very popular so need to book if you want a meal. Managed to book for our last evening meal. Pub very quaint and cosy and really friendly. Food was excellent and reasonably priced with good selection of wines.
