The room was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the food is excellent! We really enjoyed our stay here and would certainly come back. The location is perfect for hiking through the Nelson Lakes Park.

We stayed here for one night driving from the south to the north of South Island. We were given a warm welcome. Staff in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast were very friendly. Food from the albeit limited menu was freshly cooked and tasty. Homely, clean and comfortable.

We stayed in the hotel for one night during our honey moon. Rooms were old glamorous alpine style and very roomy (we had 4 beds for two person). Personnel were nice and professional. Food was good and the location was very handy.

I came here with a few friends before leaving for the Traverse Sabine track. We stayed for two nights but shouldn't have bothered. The backpackers lounge area is messy and quite dirty, especially the kitchen when there was a plate full of half-eaten chicken sitting there for the duration of our stay. The beds are way, way too close together...

in general the attention is excellent, but I went to drink a coffee and the manager got confused and believed that I had already paid for my coffee and he went to take a call, leaving a small blonde girl at the bar, this girl She was rude because she didn't understand the situation. I think she has tolerance problems...

Stayed in a family room. Good, clean and well furnished. Had a fridge in the room which is really handy. Ate in the restaurant in the evening, it is the only option in the evening in st Arnaud. The food was good and children were well catered for. There is a lovely play area outside and toys in a room...

The Alpine Lodge is easy to find, close to the main road. Rooms were very good, clean and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. Excellent food. The bar/lounge area was a good size. Friendly and efficient service. Check-in according to regulations, needed more information on the guests, in case of a civil emergency eg. earthquakes

Arriving tired we were warmly welcomed and soon settled in. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. The Lodge is close to the lake only a beautiful short walk away from the hotel. We watched ducks and birds on the pond outside the restaurant The food was consistently excellent. There is a...

We stayed in one of the studio's which was lovely and spacious with bedroom upstairs and living downstairs. It was very peaceful and couldn't hear any noise from neighbouring occupants. Nice big spa bath. You can get a DVD player & movie from reception (reasonable selection). Only tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Would've been nice if there was plunger...
