There are a lot of agriturismi in Sardinia that offer nothing more than just a stay. And then there is La Grotta del Tesoro. Off the beaten track, but well worth the visit. The rooms are nice, the scenery interesting, but what makes it special is that you actually see the farm, the animals and the hard work the owners...

My husband and I spend a week in la Grotta del Tesoro in July for vacation. The place is simple and quite, you can really appreciate the farm and country side life, far from the beach crowd. The owners are incredible persons, always enthusiast and cheerful, you feel like you are part of the family. They do their best to...

Reviewers have already expressed delight with the food and the value - and they're so right ! Unbelievably fresh, fantastically well-cooked, plentiful and with wonderful staff. 15 Euros includes 1/2 litre of wine per diner and the same volume of water and most (if not all) of the fayre is home reared / produced. But why not stay there too...
