I love this place. It is beautiful. Everything is well appointed and sparkling clean. They're attention to details is much appreciated!! The breakfast was fresh and filling. I loved the coffee. Everyone was so kind, engaging and helpful. It was so close to places like Volterra. I really cant put into words how much I like this place!! Please stop looking and book this place up.

Monica and Giorgio are amazing hosts. From the minute you pass the property gate till the moment you depart, they have at heart to take care of you without crowding you. The rooms are large, airy, and well appointed. The grounds are full of flowers and you can see on surrounding hills their vineyards and olive trees (and taste their production too). Breakfast is very tasty and varied with local cured meats and cheeses, homemade cakes, tarts and jams, plus fresh fruit salads, juices, breads and of course a real cappuccino if you are so enclined. The hosts clearly love and know Tuscany, giving tips for daily trips throughout the region and lending helpful marked maps. They speak English and French too. There is even a simple and delicious restaurant on a neighboring farm so you don't need to go far at the end of your busy day. I cannot recommend Il Palagione enough...but hope they will have room for me on my next visit!

We had a wine tasting at Il Palagione. Giorgio was a wonderful host and took time to share his passion and understanding of the wines he makes. The rich history of the region and beautiful surroundings made it a special Tuscan wine experience. Oh, and I so enjoyed the wine - Moltobuono
