At £95 per night when we stayed was it worth it? We had booked a Penderyn masterclass tour and did not want to drive. I now wish we had spent the money on the room booking taxi to and fro. Although the food was great if a little over priced and not much choice. The staff were nice and the...

Having booked 2 months in advance for a special birthday, phoning and even visiting personally to confirm food, as we all (large party) specifically required vegetarian or vegan food for our visit, reassured this would be in place, it was not. When we booked we were told vegetarian roast/Wellington were cooked fresh on a Sunday morning. Complete lie. As then...

The food, staff, restaraunt and grounds are great but the rooms are tatty and outdated, clean but old and worn, WiFi is slow (painfully) and the mattress and quilt had no protectors on them (yuch), i feel this place is missing a golden oppurtunity as the Penderyn whisky distillery up the road is getting busier and people doing the tours...

We had an ok meal when it finally arrived. Chips are excellent but ... we were staggered that our request for tap water was refused. That's unacceptable. My wine was not drinkable - we were not offered a drinks list at any point. No food for 45 minutes. Staff nice but unsmiling. Lots to improve and we don't plan to...

Attended for a Sewing Retreat, arrived thursday evening ready for starting on friday afternoon. I was welcomed into the hotel and advised some of the other early arrivals for the retreat had arranged something but I politely declined I was tired from driving. My room was the pen-y-fan suite complete with four poster bed - very nice. A spacious and...

The hotel is in a beautiful setting. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Therefore, all the main points were good. However, I felt that the little things let them down. There was no bottled water or biscuits in the room. The TV remote didn't work and there were 3 light bulbs not working...

This hotel was a great find and we will be back to use it as a base for days out in the Brecons. The lunch was very good and the staff friendly and professional. And Mum thoroughly enjoyed which was after all the main thing.

The hotel is located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. The drive up to the hotel is not inspiring. Into a layby and past the burger van! However, once on the way up to the hotel things improved. There was building work going on so everything was a little untidy and unkempt - garden furniture upturned and looking untidy...

Really lovely staff - friendly and very helpful. Relaxing atmosphere in the bar; good food in the restaurant. Bedroom could do with a little updating but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend for a quiet night away with the other half!

We were here yesterday, staying overnight after a trip to Penderyn Distillery for dad's birthday. The drive up to the hotel looked impressive after you went past the snack van and lorry park. As we approached their was obviousky wirk going on in the grounds and garden furniture was out but I guess from last year as lots were tipped...
