Our room was lovely, the hotel was extremely welcoming and the staff couldn't do enough for us. To top it all off the food was out of this world, can't fault anything at all, we will definitely go back.

We attended a family wedding at Maesmawr and spent two nights there. First, the historic nature of this hotel pulls you back in time. It is not only beautiful but warm, cozy and inviting. The staff is excellent as is the food. The wedding venue was tasteful and the banquet staff was clearly very experienced. We enjoyed some very delicious...

A fantastic experience from start to finish. Pleasant surprise to be upgraded on our room, a thoughtful gesture as there was a wedding reception which may have disturbed us. The room was essentially an apartment, very comfortable bed and spacious rooms. The food - an afternoon tea, dinner and the breakfast were spot on. However the most enjoyable aspect was...

This is the beast place I have ever been to. We visited today for a Mother's Day meal and everything about this hotel is top notch. Firstly the hotel. Although we did not stay over, the surrounds are outstanding. The building is beautiful. Everything inside and out is in keeping with the era in which it was built. As soon...

My boyfriend booked us in to the Maesmawr Hall Hotel for February 14th 2015, for a surprise Valentines stay. On arrival there was a roaring open fire in the lounge which was an amazing welcome on a rather chilly afternoon. We were checked in very quickly and then shown to our room. On arrival to the room there was a...

What a superb weekend we just had (again) at Maesmawr Hall Hotel and thanks to all the staff for their continuing professionalism and hospitality. As always, the warm welcome of the blazing log fire was a sight to see and nothing has changed so far as the rooms, facilities and food are concerned - they are all top notch but...

Last minute booked a room here for Valentines day. Arrived to a very welcoming member of staff who showed us to our room. On arrival there was a rose and a Thorntons chocolate heart on the bed, provided by the hotel which i thought was a lovely touch. Rooms were very clean and excellent tea/coffee making provided. Only criticisms are...

I had to stay in the Newtown area for a second time, so I thought I'd stay at Maesmawr Hall again after such a pleasant stay previously, and, once again I was not disappointed. On a cold winter night, the log fire in the Inglenook fireplace in the entrance lounge was very welcome, and was a lovely place to sit...
