What a lovely hotel, nice location, good food, friendly staff, we spent three nights here and enjoyed every minute it is situated on the harbours edge with views out beyond the cove to sea, space is not at a premium with little outside space and none of the usual facility's of a good class of hotel eg swimming pool ,...

Stayed for a couple of nights and found the place absolutely delightful. Pristine in all respcts, especially the service and attention. The location is outstanding if a little difficult to access down the small Cornish lanes but it is certainly worth the effort. Evening meals were excellent as was the breakfast offering. The little extras such as chocolate drink before...

Lots of good things to say about the Lugger, the staff were friendly and professional, except for the initial encounter with a receptionist. Our room was lovely, more a suite than a room, with a huge comfortable bed, nice gowns, and everything you would want in a room. There were some lovely extras, like home made biscuits put in the...

We stayed for a couple of nights at The Luggar and will definitely be back. What a find! A Warm and friendly welcome was followed by impeccable service by all and especially our lovely Beth. Our room was generous, tasteful, very clean and overlooked the harbour - perfection! Breakfast of lightly cooked delicious smoked haddock and perfectly poached eggs, was...

We stayed for 2 nights in a lovely room with our two dogs at The Lugger Inn in March. The staff were brilliant , always helpful and happy. The restaurant is excellent too. Wonderful fish on offer , monkfish and John Dory cooked to perfection. The all in cost about £245 per night including dinner for two and free bottle...

Superbly located right in the tiny harbour, this is a beautiful place to stay. The walks are bracing and energetic, don't recommend for any pushchairs though. The food is extremely good, rooms spacious and clean; we had 303 with a shared patio overlooking the harbour - lovely. All held together by the lovely Beth, tirelessly delivering fabulous customer service. All...

Beautiful location, stayed for 2 nights ad ate in the restaurant the first night. The whole place was lovely, even in February weather, comfortable room, good food, cosy bar and really good value. It was very luxurious with dressing gowns, slippers, hot water bottles(!) provided and even free parking on site. Fab.

This is a lovely old hotel in a quiet setting in a fishing village. We had our dog with us so we were in a separate building opposite the hotel. It had been newly renovated so very fresh and attractive. The room was a bit small but the bathroom was very spacious. The coast path ran next to this annex...

Have stayed before and enjoyed. So we went again and we're put in room 203 in the main hotel. This room was fine for us as last stay we were over the car park block. We like to get away and relax and this hotel did just that. We stay out of season on a bed breakfast and evening meal...

We've been visiting the Lugger for years - and usually it has been superb. It is in a gorgeous location, the food is excellent, very comfortable beds, large rooms and attentive staff. The menu has been varied and in the past had a fantastic tasting menu. Room service cannot be faulted. We were disappointed this time by the dinner experience...

Thank you for taking the time to post your review of your recent stay. I am glad you enjoyed your most recent visit to Lugger but I am disappointed to read your dining experience did not live up to expectations. We, the new team at Portloe, take guest's comments very seriously and if there is an issue try to compensate...
