After spending an unforgettable two day stay in Glenlo Abbey, if there was one sentence to describe Glenlo it would be "attention to detail with fantastic staff " Our room overlooked Lough Corrib, the room was elegant, spacious and comfortable. On arrival there was a welcome card, a box of macaroons, bottled water from organic lands which was replaced everyday,...

Such a friendly elegant hotel! Top-notch staff and service. Excellent food. 1st rate accommodations. Terrific golf course. Beautiful surroundings. Ideal location. And did I mention they have a driving range, archery lessons, and an "Introduction to Falconry" class? This hotel was perfect for our extended family gathering -- including teens and grandparents. There was truly something for everyone! Delicious breakfasts...

This is a beautiful hotel set on stunning grounds. Lovely walks around the area & only a 5 minute drive from the centre of Galway. The room was spacious & really comfortable. I really liked the framed scenic photographs on the corridors & the French Room at night. The house pianist was a lovely touch & the staff were kind...

This was a comfortable place for my family to stay for two nights. My parents had a room, and we stayed in another with our 5 year old. They were accommodating to her, although I wouldn't think of it as a family hotel. There is a lot of room to run and play, but we had to keep her very...

We spent 3 nights in Glenlo Abbey and had a wonderful stay. It is hard to find a hotel which provides 5 star service without staff being overbearing and stuffy, but Glenlo Abbey has got it just right. This meant we could really relax throughout our stay in beautiful surroundings. Our room was well appointed with some nice little touches...

We received a very warm welcome and I think what made our stay so pleasant was the staff. Really professional.... our room was fab, really comfortable and spacious, with a view of the golf course, train and lake. Food was delicious, dinner on the train and breakfast were exactly what we ordered. Would love to go back and hopefully we...

Glenlo abbey is a beautiful old building. It is a bit of a distance to Galway city centre. The food was just ok, better in the hotel than in the Orient express carriages at the front of the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, (very noisy duvets though). As it is an old building it takes some time to...

I found the staff extremely helpful and friendly as you would in a 5 star hotel. Breathtaking scenery and only a short taxi ride from the city centre. I had no issues at all and I hope to return in the future.

We spent one night in this hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. The room was lovely, decorated tastefully and stocked with beautiful L'occitane toiletries. On arrival staff were very pleasant and friendly. Our dinner in the Pullman Restaurant stole the show though. We are big fans of Galway and were torn between eating in the Pullman restaurant on site...
