Exterior falling to pieces, room felt unhealthy, bathroom had rust, door to balcony didn't open, no plug in bath. However staff friendly and food more than passable. Ignore their photos. We stayed in the bedroom they show in advertising, and it was truly awful. If this was ever a top hotel, it's been allowed to become third rate. Forget the...

The reviews are true. It's a bit grotty , needs a good scrub and you can clearly hear the people in the next room. Just needs a bit of tec as its in a fantastic location and e customer service needs to be stepped up a little

The Sandgate Hotel did the job. My lovely little lady friend and I stayed here about a month or so ago now for a bit of a jolly and Begby just wants to say thank you because we had ourselves a wondrous jolly. Oh we did. 😊 You will have already seen my reviews of the local Sandgate nightlife or...

The hotels facade is rather tired, but a pleasant professional welcome by the resceptist was reassuring. We stayed in room 4 with sea view and balcony. It is noisier than the back rooms as it is on a quite busy road. There was an issue with the balcony door not being securable due to what looked like a past break...

I stayed here with 3 friends and we were given the adjoining rooms on the third floor. Although the bar and food were lovely, I was shocked at how shabby the rooms were. Dark & scruffy. No bedside lights, no glasses in the bathroom. Still we thought we would make the best of it. That was until we went to...

The hotel needs a good clean and update, the beds were uncomfortable, the room was dirty, the bathroom was disgusting, the floor tiling was all cracked. The balcony door did not close properly. The only good things about this hotel was the food and the sea view.

Just had a night in this dog friendly hotel . The room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the people in the next room who arrived late and left early did not much care for other people wanting to sleep. The breakfast was nice and offered the usual choices, The location is right at the...

The staff and hotel is really foggy friendly. It's on the beach we were there during an amazing storm just before Christmas. Gave me back up heating nice bowls for dog and although they are ready for a renovation which is happening in March with fabulous staff frankly I'd come back often. Nothing is perfect but friendly helpful staff made...
