Mindful of the longstanding owners of this Inn that vigorously defend their trip advisor negative reviews we have tried to give an overall review. This was our first visit to the UK in over 20 years and with such high recommendations of their food and competitively priced large rooms, we booked direct, after reading on TA that they do have rooms...

The whole team could not have made our stay any better . Foxy and Jemima run an excellent bar and restaurant. The bar has a wide choice of drinks, the restaurant and bar menu is varied and generous portions to suit everyone. The food is high quality and full praise to the chefs and the server team. The room was...

Had dinner here on two nights as we were staying in the hotel up the road and didn't fancy eating there. Although they were quite busy there was a nice sense of space the areas weren't too crowded. They had a great choice on the menu, something for everyone, including vegatarian, and gluten free choices. There wasn't a long wait...

A very large country pub with good sized car park and playground for the children. Very friendly, young staff who were efficient despite the hubbub pervading the place. If you think holiday camp you will get the general atmosphere in the place, i.e if you are looking forintimate dining this may not be the best place for you. That said, the...

When we arrived the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was very...

We stayed for 3 night. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast great. We had dinner one night - the food pretty good, definitely in the superior pub food range. It's good value and we'll stay here again if we're in the area.

Party of 16 well catered for, the menu is extensive, with plenty of choice. Meals came out together and service was efficient. Bar staff are friendly and welcoming. There is plenty on your plates - you wont go hungry for sure. Would have liked to try a dessert but was too full, unfortunately. Didn't stay in the rooms, so cannot...

For the 3rd year running spent our New Year's Eve here with our wonderful friends. Enjoyed a very tasty meal and as usual the plates were so full we were unable to finish everything. Couldn't face anything more than cereal and toast this morning, still full from last night, however, the rest of our party managed a full English. Greedy...
