We stayed 2 nights, with a group of friends. The rooms are lovely: beautifully appointed; ours had a fab shower. Posh biscuits, tea, coffee-making etc. From the start, we received excellent service, from check-in, to bar staff, to waiters in the restaurant. The dining room is lovely, and food is also very good indeed. Breakfast staff are also very obliging,...

Came in for my aunts 50th birthday. Lovely lamb roast although my parents' lamb was a little fatty. The service was really good, all the staff were attentive and friendly. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

Nice restaurant serving quality generous portions for dinner. Lovely to then enjoy a few drinks at the bar before retiring to our room after seeing the local Somerset sights. Good night sleep in a quiet, clean and nicely furnished room. All in all a lovely weekend retreat.

Stayed 3 nights in the Hunter room which was located on the second floor. Check in easy and bags taken to our room. Bathroom simply awesome, huge shower with fantastic water pressure. Bed large and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was waiter service and only the best ingredients were served. Good sized portions with plenty of choice. We ate once in the...

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, great food! Even though the restaurant was busy the service was very quick and the food was absolutely lovely. Good variation on the menu. The only thing that let it down for me was that there was no chocolate based dish on the dessert menu! But I'm a chocolate fiend. Even so, the puddings we had...

Amazing service, setting, pub, wine and John Dory! Can't wait to go again. We have been many times and will keep coming back for more! It's not cheap, nor expensive! You pay for what you get and we got that!

After a lovely walk over the open fields from home with friends we were welcomed into the bar with our two muddy dogs. Had a delicious, well presented and served lunch in what is a cosy and immaculate inn. Everything from the open fire to the luxury in the loos was spot on. The addition of the new garden is...

We stayed here, in the Edford Lodge. It was a little home from home, a seperate lodge just across from the inn looking on to a field. The bed in the room was super comfortable. The bathroom has a lovely tub and rain shower. We ate dinner in the inn before checking in and had breakfast the morning after our...

We all met up for lunch and catch up, and we were all most impressed with the ambience, the standard of service and the quality of food served. The menu was difficult to choose from as it all sounded really nice, so we plumped for the soup of the and the arancini, both of which were delicious! My ham, egg...

Thank you for taking the time to write your lovely review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your meal with us. I have asked the chefs to provide more gravy in the jugs for our amazing pies, so not to disappoint the gravy lovers who come to visit. Yes, we have two dog friendly lodges, which have lovely countryside...

I visited the pub 3 weeks ago to arrange a visit for 20 runners/walkers and was happy to find the group would be welcomed. Seeing the menu I was enticed back for 2 lunches whilst planning the walk, and found the food was to die for. Home cooked and absolutely delicious. The menu is not too big, but is well...
