We only stopped over for one night, wish we could have stayed longer. Lovely location not far from Arundel, in a very quiet village location. The owners make you feel very welcome and the rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - 3 varieties of freshly cut bread toast a lovely large pot of tea and a...

we spent 2 nights here on our 5th wedding anniversary, staying in room 7 after reading other reviews. Not cheap but a lovely room with dual aspect and on 2nd floor. Jackie and Steve were very nice hosts with a wealth of local knowledge and advice on walking the area. Breakfast was fine in the conservatory. The B&B itself is...

Stayed for 2 nights in early July. Booked room 7 as we wanted a bath and the extra space. 2 best rooms are on the second floor (6&7) and finished to a high standard. We loved room 7 which had a double aspect view of the gorgeous countryside and a lovely bathroom and lots of space and cupboards. Hotel team...

We spent five nights in this gorgeous country house. Steve and Jackie were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The food presented by Steve in the restaurant was superb - the menu changed several times during our visit.

We attended a works function here recently and contacted them prior to the evening via e-mail. The response was short and cold. On the night of the function the food was fantastic but felt rushed. We were warned to keep the noise down as we had to respect the other guests which is fair but at the same time what...

Thanks for your review. I do feel the need to point out that the restaurant closes at 11, and at 3 hours for dining we felt this was ample and not rushed. We asked you to respect the need of resident guests to keep late night noise down, but unfortunately we did receive complaints and the noise was pretty loud...

We spent two nights in this lovely small hotel - which is more like a friend's large house. There is beauty everywhere and the welcome from Jackie was warm and comforting after a long drive. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious and cooked to order so we knew it very fresh and tasty. Our room on the second floor was so...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Jackie and Steve are excellent hosts who run a fine little hotel with a very good restaurant. We dined here on our first night and were very impressed by the excellent meal. Service was efficient and pleasant and we also appreciated the opportunity to chat to fellow guests. The house has bags...

we just spent a lovely weekend here and recommend it highly. This isn't just like any other hotel. The owners have a real knack of making you feel completely at home so you can relax completely and enjoy the beautiful, characterful house, the wonderful surroundings nestling by the South Downs and the delicious fresh food cooked by co-owner Steve. Burpham...

So pleased you enjoyed your stay, some folk are traumatised by the noises of the countryside, especially the owls at 4a.m.! We hope to see you again soon. regards Jackie and Steve

We stayed in this guesthouse for one night and what a lovely stay. The guesthouse itself is beautiful inside and out. The owners were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We went for a lovely walk for a few hours over the south downs and visited a few local pubs. Unfortunatly we could not get a table...

This isn't the sort of hotel you will discover by driving past. It's at the end of a winding road in the very pretty village of Burpham. As soon as you drive into the car park you know it is going to be something special. Welcomed by Jackie we enjoyed a drink in the garden before going up to room...
