Hotel's Favourite
Although the hotel is in need of some tlc, this is reflected in the price. It's set in the most beautiful location looking onto the water and the hills with a nice terrace and garden for outdoor dining. The rooms are basic but clean, the bed is comfortable and the shower is powerful. The signal came and went on the TV but you are in the hills so not unexpected. The menu was pub grub, which we love, and was really tasty. The chicken curry was delicious. The bonus for us was being able to bring our dog. Considering this hotel has probably been closed for a number of months because of covid, I think the staff did a fantastic job. They were really friendly and helpful. We will most definitely be back here.

Me and my partner and some friends stayed here 11th June till 13 for my birthday weekend. We were so pleased with the room we got the views over the loch were stunning, staff were lovely from reception to bar to kitchen staff, couldn't fault the food or bar prices, thought they were very reasonable for a hotel TBF and food was lovely, yes hotel could do with a bit of a revamp in places but I would certainly go back in a breath, we all had a fantastic weekend and couldn't fault anyone who worked there, everyone was lovely and polite, do need extra kitchen staff but after crisis were having suppose doesn't everyone. Thankyou for a lovely stay onich. X

We booked a two night stay in the beach pods at the onich hotel as thought it would be something different. They have fantastic views over the Loch with outside seating. The hotel itself seemed dated and pods weren’t ready for check in at 3pm. They were clean and tidy although not immaculate. However very overpriced and very lacking in amenities, no place for clothes, no little welcome pack of tea/coffee, no hairdryer, no WiFi etc. Also rather difficult to get in and out of bed, however bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet so did get good sleep. Towels and linens were very clean and good quality. Car parking next to pod. We were lucky with weather so made Good use of outside space. Also very warm inside abs heater provided. Hit and miss with hot water for shower though.

So we arrived at this hotel after 9 hours of driving, first impressions weren’t good at all. Sign on side of hotel was all broken and looked very dirty. Walked into reception and straight away didn’t get a good feel. It was very dated and dirty. The guy on reception was rude sat talking on his phone for 5 minutes while we waiting. He then gave us the key and up we went to our room where the fun began. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom was dirty and the whole room had a damp smell. Upon further inspection of the room we found toilet paper stuck to the ceiling of the room. The mattress was terrible, so thin you could feel the base of the bed. We were moved room and yet again it was dirty and unacceptable. We decided to leave immediately and find another place to stay. Seriously consider buying a tent as it will be far better than staying in this place. I wouldn’t even give it one star. WORST HOTEL IVE EVER BEEN TO WITHOUT DOUBT
