Really friendly with a nice informal feel to it. Great breakfast to set us up for the day ahead. You are better off having a car as a bit distant from amenities (note the local hotel had temporarily closed due to the covid lockdown). Handy for the A82 but surprisingly no noise from it heard in the room.
Booked as a last minute place to rest my head after getting battered (almost to death) by the mighty Ben Nevis. The place was perfectly located, the welcome was warm, and the bed beautifully comfy. I can’t wait for my next stay. Thank you Jane and Andrew, Jack
Stayed for 2 nights in order to climb Ben Nevis. Received a warm welcome from Jane and Andrew. We had a twin room with bathroom which was very clean and spacious. Quiet and peaceful at night so got a good night's sleep. Would recommend.
Comfortable large room, very clean, satisfying full breakfast, peaceful setting and a great location. Jane and Andrew were wonderful hosts and their field English cocker Spaniel, Spenser, so adorable, made our visit all the more memorable. Thank you. Barbara and Marshall (Francis)
Jane and Andrew welcomed us warmly and were very helpful in every respect. We spent two nights there, before going to Skye - we could only find 1-night stay available in Skye - and, when coming back, we were looking forward to arriving back at the Lothlorien. Family style ''Scottish breakfast'' with newly laid eggs from the hens we were seeing in the garden from our windows (with some luck, next year you might have honey from their bees). (Concrete) gnomes all around the house to protect us from evil spirits, The only problem: probably like other people, we had difficulty finding the house the first time we arrived there, as it is on a narrow gravel road, 200-300m from the main road, with a minuscule board besides this one. They told us they are not allowed to put a bigger one.... (I am a little surprised by the question below; ''Does any of the staff provide service in English?'' We spent a week in Scotland, sometimes in somewhat remote places, and everybody addressed us in very good English. Is it maybe because we looked like tourists and we were speaking French between the two of us??)…
