Travellers' Choice
Kincraig Castle Hotel is a stunning, family owned, 4 AA star & 4 STB/VisitScotland star country house hotel with an award-winning AA Rosette Restaurant situated in its own landscaped gardens with breath-taking views towards the Cromarty Firth and the Black Isle beyond. From your first sight of the Castle as you drive up the long tree-lined drive, you know you are somewhere special. The grand white-harled building was an ancestral seat of the Clan Mackenzie and the history and elegance of the period is reflected in the displays of crow step gables, ornamental turrets and stone mullions. You will receive a warm welcome at Kincraig Castle Hotel and made to feel at home by the owners and their team.

When we arrived at the Kincraig Castle Hotel there had been a misunderstanding about the details of our booking (suggest you check carefully the small print about terms of bookings including dinner). The Management & Staff did everything possible to remedy the misunderstanding. Our room was very comfortable, the lounge area was warm and welcoming. We had breakfast and dinner and both were excellent - the menu had been amended to include bar favourites during pandemic restrictions. The hotel’s owners Ray and Amy were very welcoming...we would willingly recommend this hotel and hope to return again in the future.

Just spent two nights at the Kincraig and have returned home feeling the benefits. The hotel is perfectly located for touring the NE of Scotland and in particular the NC 500. The hotel itself was excellent; comfortable rooms, cosy lounge with roaring log fire (perfect for our afternoon cream tea), the food although quite expensive was delicious and served by friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for more. It was a perfect bolt hole in these turbulent times. Can’t wait to return!

Excellent stay - really lovely and the food is amazing. I had the venison and it was super tender and tasty! We upgraded to an estate room and was well worth it. Had a lovely view too which was a bonus. Would highly recommend this place!
