20-25 minute drive from Glen Nevis, Ben Nevis inn, starting point for the Ben Nevis hike. It is easy to find once you are in fort William, the instructions on their website are the best to follow rather than satnav. Despite the location being ideal that was the only positive. It was dirty (an old plaster stuck to the bunk...

The room was not clean. Marks on carpet like sick. Bathroom was a hazzard. Grout missing form floor tiles and very grubby. No handle on inside of door. Toilet seat broken. Something on ceiling with bare wires. The hole place needs cleaned and modernised. Avoid this place.

Called in for a meal after an earlier disappointing visit to the Stronlossit Inn up the road which I have reviewed separately. Not many Highland Hotels left that still manage to retain that certain something that most hotels have lost. If you are after fancy menus with over inflated prices, colour coordinated furnishings, comfy seats and a somewhat subdued atmosphere...

Booked this hotel as a stopover for climbing Ben Nevis, it was ideal for what we wanted. Room was very comfortable, although definitely could do with some decorating, our room was looking a touch tired, however I did not book the room to admire the paintwork, I wanted a comfortable bed with a TV and bathroom with a bath. Must...

Drank a couple of pints and ate evening meal here for 2 nights while staying at the Homagen B&B which is directly across the road. Very friendly service and even laid on a ceilidh band on the Friday night. We were expecting to be very late on the Saturday after a full day mountain biking so rang ahead with our...

Used the bunkhouse as a base during a w/e mountain biking. Terrific value and was a perfect place to come back to. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The bar was the perfect place to chill out in the evening and had a great atmosphere. Our evening meal was hearty and tee'd us up...

This is a old style highland pub, and it looks like it has never been decorated since then. Seems to be the one bloke running it, as only saw him. He did cook breakfast and did share out the stuff some of us didn't want to the others as we were the only ones there and didn't want to waste...

If you like over cooked / burnt / hard like a stone black pudding, and hair in your chicken, come here. Otherwise... Avoid this place at all cost. We had diner here as we didn't find anything else in the area. But I strongly recommend you plan ahead your day so you don't end up in that place.

Absolutely disgusting! Filthy rooms! Filthy bar and filthy environment to dine! Absolute mess! Mould all over shower area! Toilet pan and lid that smashed you in the back when you sat down! Cobwebs EVERYWHERE! No handles on the toilet door and no lock! Pubic hairs under sheets! Actually visible through the sheets! Dusty! Grime all behind units and even the...
