This was our third visit to Headlam and once again it surpassed all our expectations. We stayed for a BIG birthday celebration with 15 friends and family and were looked after exceptionally well. Most of our party hadn't stayed before and all loved the facilities, rooms, food and the staffs friendly approach and professionalism. Thank you Headlam for another special...

We have recently returned from a two night stay - the Christmas Advent break offer. We have visited a few times previously & yet again we can't speak highly enough of the whole package. Accommodation, food , staff, setting etc. We wanted to escape from the seasonal madness for a short time to enjoy a break & country walks with...

Visited for an overnight stay. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had our evening meal in the restaurant which was superb. Highly recommend the spa and outdoor hot tub even in December.

Yet another overnighter for us - great deal for room, dinner, b-n-b, use of pool/spa facilities etc. Lots of care and attention, and it's never crowded. Only (very minor) gripe is the charge of £5 for coffee after dinner. Why bother....charge another £5 for the deal if it's that much of an issue. We'll be back again in the new...

The restaurant is excellent and service second to none. There is also a spa attached which unfortunately i didnt get to try. You would need a car to get around but it is...

I would like to thank Headlam Hall for making the wedding of my daughter Jodie to Matt on the 2/9/16 such a wonderful occasion. The hotel décor is grand, with the new refurbishment blending well with what you would expect from a period building. The barbeque style meal prepared on the eve of the wedding was excellent and all 26...

Booked a double room in the main hotel for a night to celebrate husband's birthday. We were allocated the Lyme Suite with gorgeous bathroom with large freestanding bath and shower. Cosy and warm despite the bitter weather outside. Staff were so so friendly, not the usual stuffiness you can sometimes find at good hotels. They gave us a lift to...

Stayed there last night and all I can say is wow! Lovely hotel staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived. Spar lovely but not many beds to relax on. Food fantastic and dining room very pretty. Would highly recommend for a getaway in the country side and not to far from Durham city.

Warm welcome, cosy room which is a clean and beautifully decorated. Have stayed here a few times and would recommend highly. Surrounding area is stunning in both summer and winter. Who could resist the lovely roaring fire when you come in from the cold. It's a great place. Need to return for pleasure and a spa weekend.
