We've stayed here a number of times, always in different rooms, which have all been nice, clean, neat, spacious and the bed's not bad either :) The staff are great, friendly without being intrusive, and efficient. I love their chef, think I'd marry him if I hadn't got married only six months ago! I had the mushrooms au gratin for...

Ideal location for my business trip. 10 miles from Scarborough. Lovely room and friendly staff. Excellent evening meals and good breakfast. Bar could have done with being open a little earlier, had good local beers.

Walking Wolds Way long distance trail, the location was ideal beside the route. Busy road but noise did not impinge. Spacious bedroom, which was fresh and bright with good shower - nice décor throughout - especially liked the open fires. The staff were friendly and after an arrival issue, very welcoming There was a hiccup when I arrived due to...

Lovely friendly staff- warm open fire and lovely food- worth a stop off on your way to the East Coast. Starters were homemade pate with the extras and mushrooms and garlic- with a crunchy topping. Mmmmmmmm

Friendly helpful staff provide great food . Early breakfast if you need early start. Real log fires Nothing 'phoney' about this place! Like pubs always used to be !!! ( But aren't anymore in Midlands as all owned by chains)

Don't stay here. It's mouldy in the bathroom, dirty in the bedroom and tired everywhere else. Staff are nice enough but that's the only good thing to stay. It was so filthy we didn't want to put anything on the floors. Not worth £70 at all.

I was travelling from work to stay over for a game of golf the morning after at the wonderful Ganton Golf Club. Was worried whether to get something to eat locally where I work - or at the Greyhound. Rang the Hotel and George could not have been more helpful or accommodating. They were going to hold the Kitchen open...

Some of the reviews on here would lead you to believe that the food here is no good. All I can say is that clearly some reviewers have no taste whatsoever. The provenance of the meat is a solid foundation on which the incredibly good cuisine is created. I booked a table of four and I was certainly not disappointed...
