I stayed for one night in Aug on business. It was a last minute booking and my usual hotel was full. I won't go back. The general location is rural, just south of the ring road and perhaps 25 minutes drive into York centre, depending on traffic. The village is a little sprawling, but attractive and quiet rather than beautiful...

My husband and I stayed for one night in November (a Thursday) as part of my Birthday shopping day treat in York and the Designer Outlet. The Hotel is located off the A19 but the hotel signage is very, very poor and we missed it from the road. Having to try and come off and re-join the A19 again is...

We stayed here for one night. We were there for a function. The whole time we were there they couldn't do enough for you. We found all the staff very pleasant. The room was very clean and comfortable. If I had to say one thing that was not to my satisfaction was the room was too hot. So what we...

I stayed here from 11th to 13th November with my mum, sisters and aunties. We had 3 rooms. From arrival it couldn't have been better. Very friendly attentive reception staff who were keen to help with any query. I stayed in room 30. It was large, had everything we needed and was very comfortable for our stay. The surrounding area...

Every year, at this time, I visit York with my mum and two sisters for a 'girly weekend'. This was our first stay at The Parsonage Hotel & Spa and I'm sure it won't be the last! From the moment we arrived it exceeded all our expectations. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful - nothing was too much...

We had a very enjoyable 2 day stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the spa facilities excellent. We had dinner on both nights which was beautifully presented but a repeat of the same menu on the second evening was a bit disappointing. The staff were professional, efficient and friendly. Wifi weak.

This hotel has the most pleasant and helpful staff I have come across in a while, despite its wonderful surroundings and adjoining pub . The place is spotless , brilliant spa facilities and offer a perfect breakfast ,well to be critical sausage brand needs changing ! Plenty of parking and regular bus stop outside to York centre. Highly recommended .

We went to this hotel for 2 days. On arrival the room was a little tired but clean, lovely bathroom. However, it went down hill rapidly. Make up was taken out of my room and when this was brought up with staff, one girl really tried to help, the other young man made gave a very unhelpful response and constantly...

Nice location with easy access to York. Bus stops outside if you don't want to drive and park. (Pain) Food is generally good both in the hotel and the Fat Abbot pub adjacent to the hotel. Afternoon tea is naff! If it's Included ask them to change it for something/anything! Staff good and helpful, rooms ok but a little dated....
